Voted StarCraft - It's simple really. I'm primarily a sci-fi fan, and as such I've never even tried Warcraft.
I stay away from fantasy in general - Although, as one who's also fan of blizzard's artistic style, I have considered buying Diablo 3 and any future Warcraft when that time comes.
I consider myself both now - Tho I hated WC3 at first; Upkeep drove me nuts, and I felt there were too many RPG elements in the game....tried it again years later and did a complete 180. I am definitely more of a Starcraft fan. However, I have to admit that WC's UI has made it very hard to go back to SC1.
I moved onto War3 when it came out and loved it, played it for like...ever and eventually pro SC pulled me back but mostly I only watch SC and play war3.
Really hard for me to deal with the interface but sometimes I play.

Tho' I'm an average StarCraft player at best and even worse at WarCraft.
WarCraft grates on my nerves sometimes. I played through the campaigns then set it aside. The character development is poor, the plot pedestrian. The only thing I like about it is the gameplay... and I can only tolerate it to an extent.

I tried to play multi WC3 but I can't
I played the campaign few times but the game graphics makes me want to throw the cd out

Sounds like those itt who don't like WC3 never tried DOTA and/or never had someone to teach them said game. The WC3 campaigns/melee are pretty dull IMO - but the custom games are incredible. (and the customs to come with SC2 will be even more so)
The game is RPG + RTS + Team Fortress 2. Unbelievable amounts of awesome. If you guys would like to learn we could set something up.
There are others in this thread speaking about how the interface is making it hard for them to go back.
I agree in some ways, but let me tell you, this is part of the reason I'm able to keep hyped in the back of my mind for SC2. Let's face it, it's a fresh SC expirience (with all the roller coaster of balance over the next few years included ^_^) with a better interface that I'm already trained for. It'll be a blast.
Absolutely. I revisit SC very often actually, but the WC UI definitely spoils you a bit. :) Too many times playing SC, (after a long hiatus) I'll come back to base and see 3-5 workers just sitting there cuz I forgot there's no rallying.Quote:
