Stacraft creeps were really poor. Bengalas was a fuckin cat, the scantid was a scorpion, the other one was a polar bear with ugly face, the kakaroo was a pterodactcyl. No imagination here. Ragnasaur was the only one that looked original, fuckin ugly as hell, but original. I dont know why u suggest the new creeps should look like something that we already now how it looks. There are endless possibilities here.
The Titanosaures (or what is it called Archer????) from avatar was a clever mixture from a rhino, an elephant and maybe a dinosaur. The product was fuckin awesome. I think that this may be the way, mix species, to create new ones.
On the other hand, I always wondered how the original species that the zergs assimilated looked like. The dunerunner, the brontolith, the manthis screamer. All of them. Maybe they can show as creeps dont u think????

I agree about pre-assimilated creatures and that critters should look more alien. I think a great place to start is making the Bengalaas a hexapod (six legs) and making it much bigger.

Archer of Aiur, a lot of this comes from when Blizzard was a very small company and had no major funding. Can you point to Blizzard ripping off ideas from other franchises in their most recent games? In fact can you point to any company doing this? It's not professional or needed and it certainly doesn't pay homage.

While you're at it, why not give the Bengalaas three eyes and an afro? Don't think I've ever seen an animal with an afro. Now, that's what I call unique! :D In all seriousness, adding new features to pre-existing critters such as the Bengalaas without any explanation or reason is just plain silly, not to mention (slightly) derails lore. You might as well create a new critter with those desired features; especially since Aiur isn't the only jungle planet we encounter in SC2.

Almost everything in Starcraft 2 has been redesigned in some way.

mmaan sc1 was 10 years ago critters there sucks bad in today's standard. I agree w/ the other post, it was clearly out of lack of imagination, it was pretty nice back then but not that much now. I bet will be seeing something like the avatar creatures just for the sake of making the critters cooler.
