1) How would you describe the temperament and character profile of Selendis?
2) What is the relationship between Raynor and Tychus?
3) How has Mengk's son matured? Is he a natural born leader with good intentions, or a vicious tyrant like this father?
Meh, I don't think I followed the rules properly...
1. Who in their opinion is the most interesting/complex/compelling character? (yeah, obvious question, but still...)
2. If they would make a StarCraft movie, how much focus on Protoss, Zerg, Xel'Naga and the overreaching grand mythology would it have? Also, who'd they like to see playing Kerrigan, Zeratul, Raynor, Mengsk?
3. If they could ask any one artist to paint a StarCraft related painting and one writer (living or dead) to write a StarCraft novel, who would those be?
P.S. What is our deadline for the questions? Is there one?
I don't have any questions of this kind. Id much rather get a definitive answer on how Protoss reproduce lol.
Do they really support the idea of cured Infested Stukov (pretty much a ressurection) or do they think that it was a dumb idea all together and never should have been done?
IMO personally the idea itself is neat, despite what people think about how Stukov's story is over and should stay over.
However, the mission itself was crap.
1. If there was one scene in the original game that you could go back and change, what would it be, and what effects do you think it would have had on the storyline?
2. What is the most interesting aspect of designing the StarCraft universe?
3. Which particular moment in the original was most challenging to write for (that is, having to kill off a character, things of that nature)? While not going into specifics, have similar situations arose while writing for StarCraft II?
I'm assuming these are the types of questions you mean.
EDIT: Also, is it possible for us to change our responses? Like, if we think up a better question, can we replace one, or once we've posted, it's done?
- Please confirm that there is not really a little man sitting inside the missile turret and that any resemblances to such are pure coincidence.
1) Has there been a targeted effort on the part of the writers to do something with the story of SCII to make it appeal to a wider audience than the original SC did, and if so, what steps have you taken to do so?
2) If you had to explain to someone how video games could be seen as a new art form with literary merit, which three non-Blizzard titles would you use to support the argument, and why?
3) What’s the deal with Talken and Clotworthy not being brought back on to reprise their roles in SC2?
What's with everyone always saying he was killed twice. He died like any other Dragoon.Quote:
2. Did you really wanted to kill Fenix? Two times!?
He was WOUNDED as a Zealot, like many OTHER ZEALOTS ARE, and then he was PLACED IN A DRAGOON, just like WOUNDED ZEALOTS, then he DIED AS A DRAGOON, just like many OTHER DRAGOONS.
1. Why don't the Protoss mess with time-travel to avoid tragedies ( like the loss of Aiur ) ?
2. Would a Starcraft Movie ( let's imagine you're writing the script right now, for the sake of the question ) be from the Terran point of view, or more from an omniscient point of view regarding all the races as they interact with each other?
3. If Zealots are teleported away just before death, what happened to fighting with honor, "my life for Aiur" and further more, wouldn't that mean there are a LOT of elite Zealots hiding somewhere, having survived 11 years' worth of Multiplayer matches?
It might be a retcon. Other characters make it pretty clear that he died:
Tassadar: The executor told me of how you fell before the Zerg. How is it that you live and breathe?
Kerrigan: Are you ready to die a second time?
I'm thinking he actually did die, unlike other Dragoons.
Well, if I remember correctly what they bind to a Stalker is only the spirit of a Dark Templar, I can't see why they won't be able to do it with a Dragoon. Though it's obvious they can't bring back a warrior whose spirit has already fled the body, otherwise the Protoss would not have a concept of death, even if there are some oblique hints as to the essence of the Khala being a shared consciousness composed of the spirits of dead Protoss. So I don't think Fenix died at Antioch, though he probably was very much at the brink of death.
He might have been clinically dead - no more blood circulation. However, people can survive clinical death for extended periods. I'm assuming that this is what happened to Fenix.
Assuming they're not idiots, they would if they could. Since they haven't, they obviously can't.
"Fighting with honor" =/= "Die idiotically." Fanatical Zealots might be willing to give their lives in a good cause, but High Command would rather keep as many of them alive as possible, considering how few of them there are and how much effort it takes to raise and train a Protoss warrior. Plus, they don't always get teleported away - things break down or malfunction (see Fenix's blades), the suit gets damaged in battle, and if you get vaporized by something, you're not coming back. Also assumes they have something to teleport back to, which as happened on Char they did not.Quote:

Anyways, I would ask what their main inspiration for story ideas comes from, how do they go about writing the story (is it a collaborative process, is it dictated from above, etc.), and do they have a heirarchy of what is considered "official" or "canon" (i.e. does that RPG count? are there books/maps/missions which don't count?)
There's a good chance that they're using figures of speech.Quote:

Kerrigan: Are you ready to die a second time?
