Re: Purification clarified
I'm a little puzzled by the Carriers' art direction.
Their primary purpose is carrying Interceptors for battle, is it not? In which case, shouldn't that be a significant element of the unit, visually?
Right now I have absolutely no idea where Interceptors go in this new Carrier design. And while animated videos might make it clearer, really, when the unit is called a Carrier there's something to be said for its most obvious visual elements including a cannon that it can't even use in-game.

My guess is that rather than holding the interceptors, it warps them in :/. Or maybe it "carries" them with use of some some sub space technology. It is clearly not carrying them physically at least, design is to weird for that.
Regardless, I do like the overal design, but I do not think it fits the carrier.

What's the deal with the white box in the middle?
Re: Purification clarified
You can see the area where they launch out at the front of the ship.
While personally I did like the old Carrier, I think they looked perfectly fine in the Frontline series.

It was a comment by a character in a text box. Usually, when putting up that kind of info online, you remove the text.

Re: Purification clarified
The void ray is now a Dark Templar design. Dark Templar didn't purify Chau Sara, Mar Sara or Antiga Prime, as they hadn't even met Tassadar yet. Ergo, purification can't come from the void ray.

I dont think that is really a lore consistancy problem. The arbitor had the cloaking field and now that is on the mothership. If anything is going to glass a planet it should be the Void Ray or failing that the mothership.

Uh... what? So what if the MS has cloaking? It's a technology.
That's completely different from "The dark templar appeared out of nowhere and started to help us glass planets, even though we haven't even met them yet."
Re: Purification clarified
AA is asking why the purification tech couldn't be moved to the better-suited Void Rays, since this comic apparently takes place a year after Brood War.
But we don't know whether the Void Rays are used to glass planets or not, and while their prismatic core is a fusion of psionic matrix & void technologies which would be perfect for glassing planets, the carriers glassed planets just fine before so there's no need for any tech to be swapped. There's also no evidence that Void Rays even existed during this comic.
