Modern Warfare 2

Okay, since Modern Warfare 2 is being reported as the biggest launch in entertainment history (that includes video games, movies, books, and CD's), , trumping last years' GTA IV launch, I figured we should have a discussion about it.

How is the game? Anybody care to share their thoughts or experiences? Personally I've never played any COD games and tend to shy away from war games, but last night I was watching some gameplay videos on YouTube and was blown away at how realistic and fun this game looks. Seems like it's very fast-paced and highly competitive, and I may consider this game over L4D2 as the game big one I get in to.

I beat the game the day it came out, the trophies were bugged on the PS3 and I didn't get any of them. So fuck it. However! It was an excellent single player experience with a convoluted but interesting and atmospheric story. I got the golden shotgun and golden AK47 in the original MW for the PS3, so I do enjoy the multiplayer quite a bit. I'm looking forward to playing MW2 multi today.

I played a bit of the campaign and the multi. Overated imo. The story is cool but since apparently it's so short it's kinda sad. Multiplayer is fun but Battlefield bad company 2 will totaly destroy it.

unless my roomies split the cost of it with me, I'd prefer to wait for bad company 2 instead. bf: bc was one of the funnest MP games I've ever played on live.

I'm probably gonna rent MW2 for the single-player campaign tho. it look pretty cool, but short.

The campaign is short, one of my roommates bought the game last night and we beat then and there, story is cool, multiplayer is just more of the same.

I wouldn't pay 60 for any game, except Starcraft 2 (lol)
But hey I bought it off Ebay for 49 dollars so I'm happy.
A lot of PC gamers weren't happy about the game so I figured I could get it off Ebay for less which I did.

Enjoying the game, though the better these graphics get the harder it is to actually see the players T_T

I miss old school shooters lol ;D

Who woulda thunk it. all white camouflage in Siberia would make you hard to see.

The game itself is very solid and a lot of fun. That bad part is I'll see less and less of my girlfriend.. because.. she's going to be playing it 24/7. :(
