Malware redirects and DNS problems

The site has been having loads of trouble in the past couple of years.

I noted two major problems:

The site is maybe infected with url hijacker malware somewhere that’s been causing visits to redirect to malware sites.

The DNS server keeps going on the fritz every few months and rendering the site inaccessible.

I suspect these problems may be related since the site itself is hosted by Digital Ocean but the DNS server seems to be orgnetwork.net that is also hosted by Digital Ocean? I’m not on the backend so I don’t know the details and history.
