I'd challenge that point. Statistically, women are more likely to terminate a long-term relationship than men are, though the proposed reasons tend to vary. Reasons could include investments the woman has benefited from; infidelity; stagnation; lower cost to women in divorce proceedings (keeping the money, kids), etc.

You were talking about how women have to put a greater deal of work into appearances, putting them at a disadvantage. I replied by using "dresses" and fashion as an example in my counter-argument.

The real point of my previous post was this: You don't have to cater to social standards or an individual. Take pride in yourself. You have more power and control than you think. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, social convention be damned.

I was reflecting on a past romance when I realized something about the Nice Guy/Nice Girl anathema: I think it's just plain easier to reject and cut ties with somebody who acts like a douchebag or douchebaguette. If that person is being genuinely kind and nice, it can make things much "messier" when one party or the other decides to split.

I agree, you're probably right, just trying to be open-minded to Nissa argument. My general opinion is that anything related to relationships is in women's favor.

I was thinking of asking sandwich to make a 'Dating' topic, since this is definitely off-topic now. Originally, the jist was 'I've been reading bullshit Tinder messages' as a one-off statement but now it's more.

Yes, but we already established that women also have that ability AND have better chances of getting a yes so the argument doesn't stand at all. I decided to search for those studies that show this. I'd like to throw in two of my favorite articles on the subject of dating and relationships. Not scientific, more opinion pieces.

This is how we date now. On how people are now products, and how it's a shameful reality. It posits that the Paradox of Choice is a major factor in the current state of relationship affairs.

Love is not enough. Love is strong, but you need so much more than that.

On women initiating first, I don't really have a problem with it, except for the fact that almost no women have any game at all. Even on the YouTube Video 'girls pickup guys' they're game is weaker than the average semi-jock in high school.

Also, that intro to the Love is Not Enough article is one the best examples of editorials I have ever seen, finally a editorial that 'get's it'

Girl game is very subtle. Usually if there's an awkward silence and instead of leaving they say something generic and boring like "so...what do you do?" you can pretty much assume it's on.

They're just not allowed to show overt interest. They've been trained their whole lives to never seem overeager/slutty from all the way back to childhood, pressured by everyone from parents to friends. Their place on the social ladder is pretty much the most important thing to them.

Yeah, I'll be honest, I'm getting closer and closer back to the gutter I came from in Miami, and that's dangerous af, was on a trajectory in New York to marry a classy chick ... but it's so fun collapsing everything down




Starting to get fatigued though, I haven't watched a single TV show, played a single game, or done a single thing not related to getting pussy or barely maintaining my business with minimal effort, in many weeks. It's start to drain me, I'll be needing a break very, very soon.
