I was a little afraid of things just being exactly the same as Heroes of the Storm's UI, but I'm really liking this. Things like showing a marine, zealot or hydralisk depending on the race you're picking is fun, and chat looks great, though, tbh, it's what it should have looked like 5 years ago. And it feels right that they're really making the campaign section look like Starcraft 2 as a unified game, with the 3 sections portrayed the same way as the racial campaigns in SC1.

WoL needs to be episode 7. The BW Queen of Blades campaign was episode 6 and so on and so forth.

But yeah, loving the SC1 homage.

Telenil - we're replacing those models with marine, zealot and hydra for mass recall.

That's literally what I thought when I saw this.

I'll give Blizz some cred for stroking my Nostlgiaboner for some of this lore and aesthetic stuff (Tassadar knows they failed on the MP front)

I'm kind of glad it isn't though since it kinda supports my headcanon that Sc2 is a reboot/reimagining/offshoot of Sc1 and not really the sequel to it. LOL! :p

Blizzard is really getting their act together for this last expansion. I feel like they're finally listening to all the fans complaints over the years. Good for them.

I've always thought it was possible they could pull a Star Wars: Episode III and have the final installment be a decent product. It may be too little, too late, but it's also better late than never.

The fact that it deals with the Protoss and most of the idiocy is out of the way, is good opportunity. Granted, they could retardize the Amon arch (is that already confirmed?), I'll just stay slightly optimistic since that benefits me at the moment.

Episode III wasn't even near decent. It was a digital explosion of crap no one cares about.

To me, the retcon of the Overmind, lackluster death of Mengsk, Kerri/Jim romance, obliteration of the Duran character, and poor presentation of Amon have all destroyed any possibility of this having a good story. While it's refreshing to be presented with a new line up of Protoss characters, it means that almost none of the characters we've come to know and love will be alive or around (assuming they'd be portrayed correctly). Oh, which I guess is good in the sense that we get to see characters who aren't mangled, but it's pretty sad for a finale.

They really should have done Zerg-Toss-Terran.

On the other hand, the video does make it seem like Blizzard is listening. If they make this a great game to play, then even if the story ends in shambles, I can let it go. This is a game, after all, and gameplay is king.

Nissa, again, relativity. We have low expectations.

That being said, Episode III was decent, in my opinion. I'd almost give it three stars. I enjoyed it while I watched it, and promptly never thought about it again. Episode I and II were complete jokes.

Yeah, it was still kinda crappy but compared to what came before, it was better and that's really all that one can hope for in this instance with LotV.

At this point, I'll be happy to not instinctively reach for the Esc key and tap it several times everytime Sc2 dialogue pops up. If LotV can help reduce that particular habit (maybe one less tap? :p), I consider that a huge win.
