Anatomy of War: Battlecruiser Hyperion Cross-Section
I've been working on this on-and-off for the past couple years now, and I have a few other cutaways lined up. Much thanks to Robear for his scaling and input on this!

If you see anything that needs to be changed -- errors, omissions, head canon, ANYTHING -- please, please, PLEASE let me know! :D
Enjoy!
EDIT Updated with some new blurbs, and (hopefully) all typos fixed.

Well...
If you want to be completely accurate...
The turrets are laser batteries.
Not Railguns.
I really like the rings being gravity accelerators.

It was an intentional change, one based off the recoil action from the cutscenes and their sub-lightspeed projectiles. :)

Alright.
That's fine then.
Did you base the dimensions on Robear's old SC2 scaling?
EDIT:
There is a spelling error in the "Ships of the Line" box.
There's a "tt" right before "Nevertheless."
The text talking about the Minotaur has a grammar error.
The last sentence "The once iconic Behemoth-class battlecruiser is slowly been phased out of service."
It should be "...is slowly being phased out..."
The Bucephalus box has a slight grammar problem.
There should be a comma after Minotaur in the list of other Battlecruiser classes.
The primary text box has a spelling error in the second paragraph. It should be "production" not "Prodiction." Also "extravagant" not "extravegant."

Yep! I just reviewed it and caught that one. I'll be making some edits to it tomorrow and re-uploading it to DeviantArt. Thanks! :D

Hmm, there's also the issue of how the single-barreled turrets look on the Hyperion. It seems you just put a single barrel on a twin barrel turret and placed it on the ship.
While the Twin-Barrels look fine, the single-barrels look like this on the Hyperion:

You see, they're just one barrel from the twin turrets enlarged and with a curved end sticking out of the turret's undercircle.
The circle hub doesn't exist for them.
If this is just another intentional change, that's okay.
...am I nitpicking too much?

I never realized that, thanks! No, I love detail, so keep 'em coming. :D

Personally the fact that how a "Burst Laser" works has never been explained means they could be an energy weapon with bolts and recoil. When it has never been said they are railguns I would nay assume that they are, and Would say burst lasers,
Re: Anatomy of War: Battlecruiser Hyperion Cross-Section
Omg this is so sweet. I had one of these for Star Wars. I would sell my soul for a book of these.
Amazing job VoK! :o
