Nothing really ground breaking but it was a good read for being bored at work =P
Does everyone here follow the Pro scene?

The best part is when they rip on replays for ruining innovation in the game, after TL was bitching about the SC2 replay system a few months ago.
I liked the replay part haha.
Anyway, wasn't TL only bitching about not being able to watch replays online with friends?
With the rewind function it will be even MORE easy now to dissect strategies for any determined player.
So true.Quote:
I think it’s a responsibility of progamers to research a variety of strategies and playstyles, but nowadays everyone plays the same way. I think it ended up just making Starcraft less fun.
That's what I like about Boxor and Bisu, they don't copy. It's the reason why boxor is boxor and other players are just numbers on a score sheet. You can't copy the best to be the best. You have to be original.
I feel that SC2 should have limited replay system for pro games, ie it's only a movie with no interface interaction so you can't figure out what he did.
I wonder if there will be a way to watch live pro games over bnet.
There probably is a way, and you have to pay to watch it.
It would be interesting to see how that affects the game if we limited replays. I remember when SC didn't have the replay system. Cheating was very rampant because it was the ONLY way you could learn a strategy from an opponent and see what he/she was doing. Unfortunately it did change the way the game was played and it seems as though matchups are no longer that diverse. No one wants to lose a game trying something that wasn't well tested.
Doesn't matter, when they play on tv anyone can record it.
There's nothing wrong with replays. How are you supposed to get better without replays when you don't have all the information that tell you where you went wrong. Replays makes everything so much easier. Strategy copying will happen even if there's no replay capabilities and imo is not really a valid reason to remove it.
