It'll be updated when beta hits. Anything before that will likely tread in Battle Report territory. How much it'll be updated in total at beta is uncertain.
Yes. But since that's going to be a good 4-6 months after beta, it doesn't really matter. The SC2 site focuses mainly on lore, though it does have gameplay demos of stuff too.Quote:

I hope that they will ultimately have the site transformed into something like Starcraft Compendium.
Indeed, something more conducive as an up-to-date strategy guide. The current website is flashy and good as a teaser, but way to clunky to use. I also think they're secretly working on a new version to go live when the beta hits. It explains why they haven't touched the current one in many months.
I truly forgot that website exists. When's the last time it was updated? Last March with Hydralisks, was it?
However, I do hope they change the site. Make it less flashy, more useful. There's a word for that, but it's currently escaped me.
No point in that. A Wiki is far better as an up-to-date strategy guide.Quote:

Nothing important is going to happen on these fansites till the Beta is announced. Then after that nothing important until it starts
SC2 website will most likely look a lot like WC3 website when it first came out. Unit actions and general stats. As the game is still being balanced, I can understand why they wouldn't want to leak any of that information or build towards that database at this time.
What I'm still hoping for is a good explanation of the dmg types and armor types at this time. From what I've read, there is nothing that classifies one type of attack doing extra dmg to another or reduced to another. Don't get me wrong I've see +4 to Light or +6 to bio or something to that effect. I'm just hoping for something along the lines of Explosive, Normal and concussive. It seems like units are going to be harder to remember. Hopefully we wont see Crazy Units with attacks like "does normal dmg with +6 to Light armor, +4 to bio, -5 to heavy and +3 to Mechanical"
I love their compendiums, they're chock full of so much info and helped a lot in forming strats
not untill the beta or the game is actually released
Don't worry, there won't be any "crazy" attacks. :)
I've memorized all of that stuff already, and I can't say it was too difficult so that's no reason to worry either. Also, there's no tyes of damage anymore: there are only armor types and bonuses for exact units against exact armor types. Splash damage is still present, of course. :)
Speaking of updating the site, where is our battle report?!?!
