I thought someone at blizzard addressed this at one of the events. They used the space platform because they didn't have a city tileset and it wasn't worth it to make one for just one mission. The space platform looks the most city like so they used it.

Putting NG in space was something they resorted to for lack of time & resources. Besides, whether New Gettysburg was on the ground or in space hardly matters; whats important is that Mengsk left Kerrigan to die and that plot point shaped the course of the entire series. There are far, far more difficult retcons to swallow--this one is comparatively minor.

On an artistical note: I like that they changed her eyecolor from green, since Nova also has green eyes. It makes them more unique in terms of appearance IMO.
On the other hand, one could argue that it's a biological thing that powerful (female) human telepaths have green eyes...but that's for another thread. :D

They look more natural-green than you usually see in art. (Most art paints people with green eyes with like emerald green eyes, when nobodies eyes are ever THAT green.) But grey-ish tint I can see for sure.
