I was wondering who it could be, the White Marine in the trainer on the Hyperion, so I snapped a screenshot for a good look at who's inside...no one. Or at least, that ain't a normal Marine suit.

So yeah, what's up with that? Blue visor, the stuff inside it? Either the person is wearing another mask or helmet or something inside the suit, or there's flat no one in the suit at all, so AI?

But seriously, it seems to me the visor just simply reflects what's in front of the marine, a lighted circle on the floor with a person sprawled in it (whose hand we see in the second shot) and the lamps overhead, the angles of the reflection clearly change with his movement. Those visors are not transparent and do come in varying colours, as to the marine's alleigance, I would guess the Moebius foundation with the person on the floor being Kerrigan whom he wants to assassinate, since Narud/Duran serves the Dark Voice and can't be too happy about her being saved by Raynor. We saw similarly coloured units in the very first HoTS teaser that showed a raid on Kerrigan's facility, I suppose this is from the same cinematic sequence.
No, it's clearly a different suit, besides the fact Warfield's mechanical hand isn't in view.
White suits could just signify high-ranking Dominion military officers or something.
So it could be one of Valerian's personal guard I guess...
Or it could be Warfield in a slightly updated suit for HotS.
I kinda thought they were special suits for dealing with zerg things. Would make a bit of sense.
Nothing to back it up though.
I wish instead of making more Marines (which is all we ever saw in WoL story mode) they would make new units, especially Protoss.
First thing that came to my mind was some UED assassin, but it's probably just a high ranking Dominion Imperial Guard.
It's definately not Warfield IMO, since his armor has safari/desert camouflage colors. (Which is visible during the closeup in the trailer)
Towards the end of the trailer, you can also see Kerrigan telekineticly lifting two of these white-armored guys. (Comes shortly after the drop pod sequence)
Isn't I the only one who can see the obvious? That these suits are simply sophisticated Hazard Suits developed by Moebius?

But these are the marines we saw in the HotS teaser. They were killed by Nova and her kill team.
It appears Valerian has taken Kerrigan hostage, along with Raynor (though the latter may be more or less free to do as he pleases, with a few constraints). Moebius begins its work of "rehabilitating" her, as per Val's plans.
Now, I wonder: did Arcturus know of the location of this lab, or was he tipped off by, say, Narud? Or would Narud not want this, devoting as many resources as he obviously is to Val's cause?
I just hope she doesn't kill Valerian. If anything, he's helped her through all of this... for his own selfish goals, yes, but he still helped her... even if she doesn't see it as that, hopefully she won't punish him for the treachery of his father.

Eligor, as you can see at 00:09 in this teaser, a White Marine is falling, presumably after being assassinated by the Spectre in the background.
Regarding Narud, I keep thinking back to the Mobius Factor. He speaks of the Xel'Naga fondly, even reverently. This is what makes me believe he may be trying to resurrect the Xel'Naga. Perhaps he is a pawn of the Dark Voice, but is being led to believe that these twisted Hybrids are the true incarnation of the 'Naga. As mentioned at the Lore panel, he may be a chameleonic being, so he may not be a possessed terran like the ones in Voice in the Darkness.
So, if Duran/Narud is an agent of the Dark Voice, along with Ulrezaj, perhaps the Moebius Foundation is the Terran equivalent to the Tal'Darim?
EDIT Delta Cadiums: You'll notice, in the clip above, that there is a small yello and black sticker on the back of the white marine that appears to be a Nuclear Energy warning sticker. So these are Nuke Hazard, or reinforced NBC suits.
Unless the Dark Voice IS a rogue Xel'Naga, which is another possibility. I suspect that we may find out that the Xel'Naga weren't necessarily a single faction that agreed on everything (he is reffered to as The Fallen One and the Xel'Naga are the only beings mentioned that have the sort of godlike status of grace to fall from, unless they're going to introduce a fourth race, which is unlikely).Quote:

Well, keep in mind it's Valerian who owns the Foundation, Narud simply being its lead researcher. So harboring Kerrigan may very well be contrary to Narud's wishes. But he may be as in awe of the powers of the Xel'Naga Artifact as everyone else, and wishes to study its effects on Kerrigan. And that's just assuming he doesn't want her dead... immediately.
Who? Narud or Valerian? Valerian wants to keep her alive, Valerian wants to redeem her. Which I think is a GREAT story hook, and I'm really looking forward to it. I thought Valerian was intriguing in SC1, but really underdeveloped. I'm looking forward to seeing them do more with the character.Quote:

Honestly, with the threat of the Zerg on the horizon, Valerian's plan was probably the best one available.
Now, if you look at the relationship between Mengsk and Valerian in "I, Mengsk", the two have a strained relationship. Valerian's interests... just don't coincide with Arcturus's, and Arcturus thinks of his son as a pretty-boy.
So, maybe Mengsk would have silently co-opted Valerian's plan to make sure that Raynor or Kerrigan dies (Early Heart of the Swarm conflict?) but wouldn't have done it openly, because he wanted to see if his son could pull it off?
About Duran's reverence for the Xel'Naga. What if the Dark Voice doesn't want to break the Cycle? What if he operates under the assumption that the Cycle has already been broken by the conflict between the Protoss and the Zerg? The Hybrids (and DV's wish to remake the Universe) suddenly begin to make much more sense in this light.
The White Marines are Marines from the Umojan Proctectorate. Umojan Marines sometimes wear white heavy combat suits with blue visors. Valerian was brought up in the hands of Umojans, so he could possibly be using their marines as he feels that dominion marines aren't trustworthy enough.
