B) It's a good way to frustrate them and get them angry that their ending was leaked.

Seriously, asking about it would have been a waste of time.

As for Fenix, I think they just didn't want to bog down the game with too much continuity. Duke wasn't mentioned either.

One thing I want to say is that Mengsk's fall wasn't that improbable. He's simply held power over the media for so long that when they refused to dance to his tune and instead blindside him he wasn't prepared. Also, mengsk was never morally gray. He was once a good man but he was also a monster.
