Prodigy Team Star League (PTSL) Season 1
Initially i was gonna wait for team announcements before making this...then I saw a screenshot of a map.:)
This is a $1,200 prize pool "proof of concept" 2v2 tournament. 8 teams are invited to basically test it out just like IPL Season 1 did. Live viewing and VODs will be free.
• $1200 Season 1 prize pool: $750 First Place, $300 Second Place, $150 Third Place
• 8 Pro 2v2 Teams comprised of some of the best professional StarCraft IIŠ players
• 2 Custom 2v2 maps created by the ICCup Mapmaker prodiG
• Games casted live by Kevin "CatsPajamas" Knocke and Josh "AskJoshy" Suth
• Live stream and VODs provided free of charge
• Players’ team voice chat streamed alongside the casted live stream.
• Double elimination tournament. Best of 3s. Finals is a Best of 7.

Prodigy Team Starleague. The map is inspired by Twilight Fortress, the very first SC2 2v2 map. I feel that Twilight Fortress was always quite solid, however it had room for improvement. This is what I came up with:
Features
-In-base natural expansion
-Main base has three ramps, two 1x ramps and one 2x ramp blocked by debris. These can be walled on the lowground by one central wall or on the highground by two separate walls
-Third base can be taken as an easy-to-defend mineral only or as a riskier gas expansion by going around the trees
-Two Xel'Naga Towers overlook their respective ramps leading into the center
-One Xel'Naga Tower on each of the outer expansion areas
-Gold expansion can be harassed via the path above

Map Size: 164x160
Expansions: 20 blue, 2 gold
XNT: Six, two in the center and four along the outer expansions
Tileset: Custom - Uses elements from Bel'Shir, Aiur, Agria and Haven

Well, before I announced my retirement I had committed to the PTSL that I would make a pair of 2v2 maps for their league and I am not someone to back down on prior commitments. I'm still "retired," but I'll still be following up with these 2v2 maps. I hope you all enjoy it!

This 2v2 tournament is starting up this weekend. It begins Saturday Jun 25th at 1am (BST), 2am (CET) corresponding to Friday 24th 9pm (EDT) [I think. I have no idea about American time zones :p]. Stream and VODs are free so tune in guys if competitive 2v2 interests you at all.

Dahli and Pythonas are replacing Sheth and Moonan. Sheth and Moonan can't compete due to being in Korea.

Warpprism.com has been adjusted by the creator to allow viewers to watch PTSL and switch between the 3 audio streams without affecting the video.

Can easily switch between audio streams if you wanna hear what the players are saying to each other. I put a link to the brackets on the first post. Team Destiny is playing first. That would probably bring in a lot of viewers. I'll probably rewatch that series to see the kind of crap destiny is saying during the matches.:p
