A question I had about Adun.
Hello, I had a thought yesterday, reading in the Starcraft wiki (after reading about it in The Dark Templar saga: Shadow Hunters) about Adun, it seemed to me that when he saved the Dark Templar, (before they left Aiur) and stopped them from creating more Psionic storms, he used both the powers of the Khala and the powers of the Void, similar to what Tassadar used to destroy the Overmind.
(I hope i'm right here)
I was thinking that if Tassadar survived as a spirit some how, maybe the same thing happend to Adun. (It was said that no body was left, and he could not be sensed within the Khala, but I am sure Tassadar wasn't sensed within the Khala either after he died, or else )
I know you probably can't tell me for sure, becouse we don't know yet what exactly happend to Tassadar, but i thought I would ask. :)
(of course i saw people think that maybe that spirit of Tassadar we saw in Wings of Liberty is a trick by Duran or the Dark Voice but i thought it was worth asking anyways)
Sorry for any spelling errors.

Yes.

No. The Conclave scattered the storms.

Zeratul suggested that Adun was reincarnated as Tassadar, which means they have the same immortal soul. If that's the case, then Adun is Tassadar.

Due to the vision Zeratul had, he indirectly got Raynor to help out in the mission to de-infest Kerrigan. But I have to wonder... now that she's so weak, wouldn't that make it easy for the hybrid to take control of the Swarm anyhow? No wonder Kerrigan will be so frantic to strengthen the Swarm and herself in Heart of the Swarm.

Thank you,
I personally don't think that Adun was reincarnated as Tassadar, I guess that I would just like to think as them and what they did differently, and to think they are the same person (well, Protoss) sounds a bit weird to me.
but that is just how i feel about it.
It was only suggested right? i didn't miss something huge? Also, i would like to know your personal opinion about it :)
Re: A question I had about Adun.
Zeratul did indeed say that the Dark Templar believed Adun to be reincarnated someday, and Tassadar is the most likely candidate I say. Metzen hinted at some kind of connection between them on Blizzcon last year. Remember, Adun didn't die the natural way, he just mysteriously disappeared. Tassadar too, we know is not really dead.
Re: A question I had about Adun.
I thought they both died the same way, Adun died (in lack of a better word) becouse he used both Khala and Void powers, or at least that is what i understand from reading Shadow Hunters.
I thought that Tassadar died the same way, on the Gantrithor right before he destroyed the Overmind, and if he survived some how, maybe Adun did as well.
(or did Tassadar not die when he used both the Khala and Void powers, but when he crashed into the Overmind? and if so, how did he not die and Adun did?)
Sorry if i'm completely missing something obvios.
Re: A question I had about Adun.
No, you are right, the two are definitely similar, both in how they died (if they so did), but also in how they thought (better to reunite than to segregate).
We always thought Tassadar died, but he claims himself he didn't. I've read Shadow Hunters, and its hinted at very bluntly that Adun will reappear in some way, possibly through another person.
The best thing is to wait for Legacy of the Void.

And because he says it, it must be true. He can't possibly be dead and the Dark Voice or the Overmind merely pretending to be Tassadar to mislead Zerafool. ;)
Re: A question I had about Adun.
Right...I can totally see the dead Overmind using his last breath to create an illusion, hoping Zeratul drops by someday

I don't want them to be the same person, but I think they'll end up being the same.
Blizzard only hinted at them being the same, but those hints generally come true. Even so, with no protoss on Aiur, I don't see how Tassadar can be important to the plotline in Legacy of the Void.

I belive we will have to wait for it to know what happend to Tassadar, I hope it won't be to long of a wait.

That could be the case, I'm not sure how the Dark Voice or the Overmind would guess that some day 4 years later Zeratul will come back to the dead Overmind and get tricked by the illusion.
It doesn't make sense to me that the Dark Voice made the illusion, becouse before Zeratul talked to Tassadar no one knew about the Dark Voice, it's plan, or it's past with the Overmind.
And after Zeratul saw the vision of the Overmind he understood that they must not kill Kerrigan, if that is what the Dark Voice wanted, that they will not harm Kerrigan (showing Zeratul the vision and tricking him) he failed becouse Raynor with the help of Duran(if he is Narud) made her lose her control over the Zerg (so she might as well be dead).
But If the Dark Voice wanted her dead, he wouldn't show a vision that says that if she died the univers will burn.
Unless he used Narud/Duran to de-infest Kerrigan with the help of Raynor, but then what was the point of the vision?
If it is the case or not, we will have to probably wait to know.
Sorry i'm just thinking to hard >.<

Do you think he will be important to the plotline oh Heart of the Swarm, or not at all? It would be a bit weird for them to bring back Tassadar from the dead just for that moment in Wings of Liberty, maybe at least they will explain how and what happend to him.

nah, right now i think that everything is possible in this game, EVERYTHING. Even Raynor being a reincarnation of raptor-jesus. O.o

Haha, I've long considered the possibility that Tassadar isn't what he seems. But I can't quite make it work, though, as there was a hybrd frantically trying to stop Zeratul from getting the information that eventually lead him to Aiur.
Speaking of speculations, I think Tassadar is more an archon than a ghost.

Do you think he somehow merged with the Overmind?
Re: A question I had about Adun.
I don't know maybe. He does look like an archon.
Re: A question I had about Adun.
I think that has more to do with a "development hell" side effect. Tassadar/prophets was one of the last models made by the artists and they had deadlines to do everything in. The portrait of tassadar is just an edited Archon Portrait shown at a different angle.
With that in mind, I hope they take time to make a unique Tassadar portrait and do more touches on his model before the release of Legacy of the Void.
