No Chat Lobbies is FAIL (BNet2.0)
I'm sorry, but after watching the Bnet 2.0 walkthrough and seeing that it uses an instant messaging type set up, as oppose to a chat lobby is complete bullshit.
First off, he gives the reason of "..oh its hard to keep conversations together in chat lobbies, etc." Are you high or just mentally disabled? Half of the time when you are in a chat lobby, you're a in lobby that you like to hang out it and talk in. He makes it out to be that lobbies are a bad thing and don't facilitate the bnet experience. This brings me to my main point. CHAT LOBBIES are essential for the bnet community to develop. You wait and see, a majority of people that play are going to end up with VERY few friends. I mean, my friends list in WC3 was maxed out all the time. Meeting new people in chat rooms was the EASIEST way to AT (Arranged Team, ie. 2v2,3v3). With lobbies gone, you are succumbed to meeting people via ladder and/or sc2 websites.
I am UTTERLY disappointed in the direction bnet 2.0 is taking with this decision. Mark my word, this is a bad decision, and we all will feel its consequences.
EDIT: Plus, its not always about meeting people to play games in regard to chat lobbies. Sometimes your taking a break from games and you chill in a lobby to shoot the breeze and/or talk about strategy.
Also, I'd like to point out that in WC3, many chat lobbies (clan or not clan) would use bots which kept the channel organized. Especially protecting itself from spam bots. Again, I reiterate, THIS IS STUPID.

Lol they are going to have public lobbies and an instant messaging interface for private messaging which is much harder to do in the same lobby.
