Re: Who here thinks DiamondBacks and Vulture models >>>>> Hellion?
Since when have I ever wanted the Vulture back?
Would you kindly quote where I've said that? The hellion IMO doesn't fit the Terrans and I'd rather see a new unit model.
Re: Who here thinks DiamondBacks and Vulture models >>>>> Hellion?
i just want a new design unit model for the hellion's role.
or
make the buggy look not like a buggy.

I think Blizzard could go with a futuristic looking Hummer truck armed with rail guns or something to keep the current flame that damage anything in it's path.Or just bring back Cobra/Diamondback which is just look fukken awesome now.Diamondback gives a mechanized feel to the army, while Hellion failed to give.
Besides,Diamondback makes more sense in terms of lore as it seems more like an upgrade of the old hover bike,Vulture to a hover light tank with rail guns.Hellion just look like a huge step down in technology.I think Hellion would still be a great unit in campaign,IMO.
I have a suggestion, could sclegacy host a contest on designing a concept art for Hellion so that Blizzard could get some ideas to replace the current ugly buggy?

Yes,Terran stuff suppose to look low tech, compare to Protoss but not as bad as a random buggy driving around with high tech transformers, large Battlecruisers, outer space drop pods, psionic warriors, soldiers with big armour suits etc.
Having the current Hellion feels like having a Medieval age Catapult in Company of Heroes.
Hellion's looks just dont fit into the game. The name isnt really suitable for SC2,as it sounds better as a monster in D3.
btw,D3's Monk rocks. :P

yeh, lets hae a contest here.
REDESIGN THE BUGGY HELLION ARTWORK! or change it to something else.
Re: Who here thinks DiamondBacks and Vulture models >>>>> Hellion?
SC1 cinematics are not a good indication of how things actually are.
They had the mothership too for the beginning of SC1 but the game changed drastically.
Not only that, those small outposts of course won't have the main technological assets that the main military does so they're obviously going to be using junk. Notice how they use this no-name crappy ass tank instead of a siege tank?

Whether you think they are mistakes or not, they are there. They exist, and they are part of the StarCraft heritage.

Yeah, just like how the mothership totally existed in SC1 too right?
Hell I don't know why they even use marines, just mass produce cheap jeeps to counter-swarm any Zergling rushes by running them over.

And it's present throughout SC1; known as the Gantrithor.

That may be but it nonetheless shows that wheel-based vehicles are still widely available and utilized by Terran forces. Additionally, the fact that that it can be manufactured even at outlying colonies would be a major factor in favor of the Hellion's incorporation into Dominion forces, seeing as how the Terrans were in a far more desperate situation at the end of Brood War (when rebuilding would have started) compared to the beginning of SC1.

Hey I'm fine with vehicles that use wheels... just not something as brittle looking as the Hellion. It's looks both Brittle and low tech.
Compare that to the diamondback which could also serve the exact same purpose, fast, tactical strike tank of some sort that doesn't look like ass.
