Browder has confirmed HotS will bring about its own ladder and separate the multiplayer audience, in addition to bringing new units and new maps. One could already assume this but now we finally get confirmation.

Guess we need to deal with the reality of having 3 separate ladders. So those players who don't conform immediately you won't be able to play with in the new version of the game.
Saw it, nothing new, WC3 and SC1 worked the same way though.

It's nice to have confirmation - at least it's news, and I'm desperately starved for HotS news :(.
I enjoyed the interview, too - Dustin is of course, still not telling us a whole lot about HotS's story, but at least he's just a tad more open about it now than earlier interviews.
I'm still hoping that they'll do a decent-sized HotS new-features reveal before Blizzcon.
Before or at Blizzcone, doesn't matter, I just want to new some of the new units and mechanics! :)Quote:

Difference from RoC and TFT in Wc3 is huge, it's not suprising the ladder is split. I am pretty good at wc3 TFT (or was) but I completely sucked at the RoC. I needed that itemshop for my playstyle.
