What was the most difficult unit for them to get right?
Well guys. All good things...
(1:29:47 AM) Jack Doe: Wife and kids are on the way home
(1:30:22 AM) Jack Doe: Tell everyone thanks for the entertainment, hope I was helpful. Try not to make this too public.
Adding:
(1:32:49 AM) Jack Doe: So my new "public name" is Jack Doe? You know how queer that sounds? I'll see you later, going to fetch a damn pail of water before they get home
(1:32:51 AM) Jack Doe: Night everyone. Blizzard still loves you from the inside, believe it.
I'll write him an email of appreciation from you guys if you want to post final notes for him
I think we are all very lucky to talk to mr anonymous blizzard team member.
Do you guys (all the employees in general) get much of a chance to really even mess with the editor, or are design changes and new builds too common to make it worthwhile? I'm referring to the "UMS" maps not the "Melee" maps, mind you.
Karune's already mentioned a "Paintball tag" esque map, I'm just curious if these kinds of toyings are very common.
Oh, perhaps you can answer this one (likely not for obvious reasons), but are the game maps capable of being developed through an SVN repository system? For collaboration's sake, this would be killer. Hah. :)
As a said a few pages back, this was really unexpected, but greatly appreciated.
Hah, oh well, back to work it is then.
Thanks for letting us in on this opportunity Gifted, and thank you John Doe for taking the time out to dish out the goods.
Answering a bunch of questions and not revealing anything show-stopping. Golden.
As the beta unrolls, Blizzard aught to consider having more fansite chats with the SC2 staff, could be fun. :)
