Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
So? :)
The other day discovered how to turn my russian-languaged interface to english-languaged, happy as an erupting volcano waken up by a hydrogen bomb.
Pity that I've managed to beat the game once already, but ok - I still started Round 2, no problem.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
I finished it and I must say the ending... the whole damn story blew my mind. Dead Space 1 was great but the sequel is 100000x times more scary.
spoiler
On the Ishimiura on the way to power up the gravity threaders there is this long corridor where necros pump in like there is no tomorrow, I was at the end of it, it was quiet, suddenly I've heard something squishy and slimy behind me when I stopped walking, I turn back and I see this necromorph right behind me, that was the most scary moment I head in this game, I was soo caught unguard. I jumped like crazy and I paused to catch my breath.
The game is totaly worth any money.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
will finish the download tonight. Dead Space 1 was awesome, really liked it. Haven't been enjoying the singleplayer and storyline that much since Half-Life.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
I beat it in a day and a half. Amazing game, much better than the first game, and definitely scarier.
Spoilers
I'm confused though, I died at the part where if you don't press E fast enough the Nicole hallucination snaps your neck. Was it just Isaac who snapped his own neck, imagining it was Nicole?

Isaac is suffering from schizophrenia, which in a lot of cases can lead to self inflicted injury or suicide.

I love this game! Ammo is rare. Med packs are rare. It really keeps you on your toes and thinking the whole game.
Spoiler:
The whole start of the game i thought it was good, but I really missed the Ishimura....Then once I saw it again I screamed with excitment. Then screamed from fear as I was super tense walking its halls again. I think I did that whole chapter with my gun up, lol.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
this game is fucking amazing. I haven't been so excited since Half-Life.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
I do wish, however, that the game didn't start with action right off the bat. In DS1 there was a huge chunk of the game where you're just wondering the halls getting freaked out by shadows and noises. And watching people bang their heads on walls as they lost their sanity was a nice touch too!
would have been nice to have more of that in the sequal to build suspense.
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
First game surely wasn't keeping you on guard all the time. 70% of DS2 is in complete darkness! X_X And Unitology Church... just depressess me.
The game seemed short to me, again. Though I've beaten Normal(and I'm doing it again, for the sake of Elite Suits). Will surely be more tough on Survivalist and Zealot.
Anyone else has new suits schematics missing? Developers promised to fix it, awating patch.
And if anyone knows how to fix NAT thingy... please do tell. :)
Re: Anyone else playing the heck out of Dead Space 2?
Played it, beat it on survivalist in 10 hours. Great game...but not worth buying/keeping at $60. Rent the game and beat it in a day, or wait until the price drops on the PC.
