Anyone think the fact that he keeps holding it, is significant? Is it the first time that he has physically come in contact with Kerrigan, in the cinematic "The Prophecy" ?
Also, on a side-note. What was Blizzard thinking when they redesigned Kerrigan's appearance? Her face is generic and like a little girl now, it has none of the intensity that it had in SC1 (both uninfested and infested)... and if they wanted to make her more attractive, well, she already WAS attractive.
It seems Zeratuls arm was injured before the Prophecy missions take place during that cinematic with Kerrigan but it's still causing him trouble when he sees Raynor. Hmmm
If I'm not mistaken, that whole cinematic was originally supposed to be a full-on, legthy, choreographed battle between Zeratul and Kerrigan, but was trimmed down during time constraints. His arm being injured might be just a holdover from that.
In regards Kerrigan's looking more 'generic,' like Raynor, I belive it's just closer to what Metzen originally envisioned her. In terms of Lore, Sarah Kerrigan was generally not considered to be overly attractive in the first place. Her lips were described as being too wide, her eyes spaced too far apart, and her features too sharp.
Yeah, but that's what she looked like in the first place. Now she just looks like one of the girls from my college classes lol.
And what time constraints? We ALL would have preferred a greater battle between the two of them, its not like they were trying to fit the game into a tv slot with commercials.

I'm pretty sure Kerrigan injured Zeratul's arm, and protoss don't regenerate. She lost the encounter, so she should get at least a bragging point out of it.
As we can see, he fights in a bunch of other missions after the "injury" so it's merely a case of tennis elbow. Zeratul is simply old & needs to start doing stretches before combat now.
