Well, in SC: Ghost, one of Nova's weapon was a psyblade which was allegedly derived from Protoss technology by Dominion scientists. Whether this still exists in Starcraft lore is subject to debate.
Hmm I aprrently missed that tidbit about SC:Ghost.
Yes, there has been an example of a Ghost which has actually formed a psi blade with the help of enhancements from a Protoss Templar's nerve cords, whether these cords are required for the blades to form I'm not sure. The Ghost was an experiment named Gestalt Zero.
The Protoss aren't going to help any Terrans, unless it's Raynor and his Protoss buddies, even then I doubt any technology would be going into mix between them.
The only time I see a combination of tech happening is if the Dominion or any other underhanded Terran group makes them by jacking the tech from the Toss.
Thats the thing I could see some Terran groups jacking some toss technology and seeing what they can build.
That's if the human mind can even comprehend Protoss technology (it might still be too complicated to even reverse engineer).
They have managed to make the psy-blade though, but that doesn't seem like all too much of an effective weapon anyway, seeing as how only Ghosts can wield it, and I'm sure a Ghost is more fond of sniping a Zealot 2 miles away instead of trying to fight it with a crappier psi blade.
In Deception, the terrans studied some protoss tech, but according to Chris Metzen the experiments likely wouldn't work.
Not entirely true. Gestalt Zero used the psi-blade in its attack against the Khalai, before he ever met Muadun. The Khalai nerve cords may have been required, however.
It's probably an anti-zerg/anti-terran weapon. (In the screenshots, we never see it used vs protoss, probably because that's suicidal.) It used to be one-hit/one-kill until they removed it. I bitched that they should have just made it do damage, but the cancellation of the game makes that moot, right?Quote:

Note that, while based on protoss tech, it looks more terran than protoss (unlike the one Gestalt Zero used). Which makes sense, as that psyblade is probably a more recent invention.
And tick the protoss off? I think Raynor wouldn't do that.Quote:
