View Full Version : Could you survive a Zerg invasion?

My girlfriend came up with another batch of questions for another test. This time the test is about whether or not you could survive a Zerg invasion of your hometown.

http://vilegaming.com/goodies.php?m=tests&n=could-you-survive-a-zerg-invasion

The Real Spartan, if your hometown was invaded by the Zerg, you would have a 74% chance of survival; however, no one will ever know until your day of judgment arrives. Not many can stand tall face-to-face with death..

Lol at censorship:

I g** a fucking arsenal of weapons.

My result: 74%. But realistically, my chances are slightly higher because I have some very good survivalist friends nearby who have literally created a zombie contingency plan and are [self-]trained demolitions and gun experts, and I'm the designated field medic for that group. >_>

Plus I'm pretty handy with my machete and sabreing. :p

Nice quiz, man! I like it.

PS Can I have your girlfriend?

I got 75% but realistically, it would be 0.000000000000000000000000001%.

I think that guide severely underestimates the power of the zerg, they've infested entire worlds in 48 hours flat. What use would a gun do when you need to fire consecutively for a couple seconds with a 10000 rpm chaingun with depleted uranium armor penetrating rounds going at mach 9 to kill a zergling, whos claws can go through neosteel bunkers?

The only way you could survive the first 48 hours of a zerg invasion would be like if you were in the middle of Antarctica :/. And even then probably not.

Okay this might be a bit offtopic, but i'm wondering, how hard is the zerg carapace lorevise?
I always thought that an simple zergling, has the same armor, as a todays main battle tank.

The Hydralisks on Amerigo, and Zerglings in the BroodWar intro, were able to sustain volleys of hypersonic rounds. Sooo... I'd say pretty durable. Zerg do appear to have weak point in their armor, however.

And yeah, realistically, I'd live for about ten minutes. :(

Ultalisks have the strongest plating known by man kind.

Then probably if you manage to kill an ultralisk, you could hide inside it for a couple of weeks before the creep starts asimilating bodies into itself in order to feed the brood.

Uh, where'd you get this from?

Yes, but in the SC: Ghost trailer (which was much more up to date than SC1 and more realistic), Zerglings and such were shredded by a few bullets. Which is exactly how it should be. The Zerg overwhelm their opponents in numbers just like in the trailer, they're not supposed to have the toughness of Protoss shields.

I thought that only works on zombies. :P

I'm no expert, but I do know how to handle a gun - I've played Gears of War."" lol

In Liberty's Crusade, a Zergling is killed by a shotgun. They aren't bulletproof at all, but that doesn't matters when 10000 of them are running in your direction.

I think that most Zerg strains are ripped by gauss rifles, but the Ultralisk is another question. Realistically, the Ultralisk should be able to be taken down by anti-tank weapons, however.

The problem with the Zerg, is the amount of units, and infestation.

21 of 24: In your house, is there a baseball bat, crowbar, machete, or any other blunt or sharp object that could be used as a handheld weapon?

Yes

Yes; and I'm damn-well trained to use them.

No, but I could probably find at least something similar.

I have a replica steel Frostmourne sword - I'm a licensed badass.

No; I keep my house child-safe.

Omg. lol. Is it sad that I have to answer the Frostmourne sword? Though it is no secret - I am a licensed badass.

(PS) In your description before you start the quiz "some" is spelled "soem".

You have a frostmourne :p Could you maybe show a pic of it?

I would love to have one, and make myself a sandwich with it, and whielst at it, whisper frostmourne hungers :D

Yes lol - I do have a Frostmourne and I'm going to be getting the iceshard for it at some point too. I don't have it displayed yet. But when I go to the storage room next week I'll take a picture of the room - all of it is 100% Blizz stuff haha. The sword is a massive box and frickin awesome. Srsly the best replica sword I've ever seen.

Is it a real steel replica , or a plastic imitation ?

And i just got a great idea :D, since it's obvious you have to much blizzard stuff , i think it would be a great idea of making and end year contest and giving some of it away, to your loyal fans :p

It's the licensed full steel replica. The box is like 4 and a half feet (or bigger) and the sword must weigh 30+ pounds.

This is true. I'll show you pics of the storage room.

i got a 82% survival rate

my advice if this DID happen, i would use flame weapons religiously
thats the only way

ps. use rocket launchers for the ultralisks :)

No need to take this test. I know I will not survive a Zerg invasion because I lack a functional gauss rifle.

LoA, I'm going to get my friends replica of the Soul Edge and then I challenge you to a duel.

In Liberty's Crusade, a Zergling is killed by a shotgun. They aren't bulletproof at all, but that doesn't matters when 10000 of them are running in your direction.
They're also pretty easily killed by the farmers in Shadows of the Xel'Naga.

I think that most Zerg strains are ripped by gauss rifles, but the Ultralisk is another question. Realistically, the Ultralisk should be able to be taken down by anti-tank weapons, however.
I think one survived getting shot by a tank in Shadows as well, that or a bunch of Goliaths I can't remember, but really most modern-day weapons should be enough to kill a Zerg. The problem is that, as you said, there's always one more when your bullets run out.
