VALVe has such a funny sense of humor. First they announce the Sniper update, and eventually its revealed to actually be the spy update (http://www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/). And when the "Meet the Spy" video is leaked on YouTube (possibly intentionally), VALVe proceeds to release a series of blog posts (http://www.teamfortress.com/) simulating a firing frenzy over the incident. (start with the beginning of May 18th)

Even if you don't play the game these posts are worth reading just for the humor alone.

I'm following it, very excited. Spy's always been my favourite class, even if the metagame stopped me playing him as well.

Spy is my 2nd fave class behind the Demo. He's hard to use on a server of skilled players, but can be highly rewarding when used successfully. Regardless, with mass spies running around this event is sure to be an absolute blast.

Pyro's are gonna be gods :(

I have all the achievements for the medic/pyro/heavy. The scout one only came out a few months ago and I've been super busy so I only have a few of those. I need to get on the scout and now on the spy...

Personally I'm a huge soldier fan.. then Pyro... even if I'm not too great with him

biggest problem is that I have TF2 for 360 and not PC soooo... No updates for me :(

The Spy is easily the coolest class but I can't hack it with him. I just die. A lot. So I change it up between engi/sniper/medic.

This update is going to make the game a nightmare for a while. Everyone and their dog is going to be a spy or a sniper and we all know how fun it is to get stabbed in the back or sniped.

The engineer really needs an update...

Yeah, it's gonna be complete chaos. So far I've been online for every class update and it's always crazy for a few days. Sadly I'll miss this one by about a week due to timing.

Heavy update was the best...I was getting chains of backstabs up to 5 or so in a row on payload maps. The scout update was pretty nuts too with a bunch of little pricks running around on Granary, racing to the first central control point and battling over the center. Eventually a player got sick of it and chose a Heavy with Sascha and a Medic escort, and he alone was steamrolling our entire team of Scouts.

Engy update should be interesting. No idea what class is next...but they historically focus on whichever class is being used the least at that time. Right now the next candidate is the Demoman.
