Hey, I got an Asus laptop recently cuz my old one died, it was the same brand, but supposedly upgraded. It came with a better graphics card but lousy CPU and crap wifi compared to the other one.

Well, to get around this, I decided to buy a USB Wifi stick.

Built-in: Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN
Wifi Stick: Belkin N+ Wireless USB Adapter

So I had some troubles setting it up. But after deleting the connection from the built in, I could connect with the stick. Problem is... it's a shit-ton worse than the built-in one. I tried moving it around my desk and it still went a lot slower no matter where I put it. I've lagged in every game I've played. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

EDIT: I've tried connecting to the same connection individually and with both of them at the same time, it was worse with both on it.

is there any other routers around? if yes, check the transsmition channel
if the other router has it set to 1, you have to change it at least to 3, but I would recommend to set it like mine

What kind of software you use to connect? Windows or the WiFi card one?

Well I installed something from a CD, probably drivers, but I connect through the normal Vista Connect To thing.

How do I set channels and stuff in Vista?

if you installed drivers for that wifi card you should be able to check channels with it

acess the router via your PC
132
and if any other router is using the same channel, change it from there
