How is this news? I can name plenty of games where "innocent bystanders" and "civilians" get mowed down. This not new, wtf.

As one who is more into vehicle based games, I keep reading "MW2" as "MechWarrior 2".

I rarely buy first or third person shooters. Only if there's some kind of gameplay twist do I buy them. (Like the Crysis nanosuit, which was so similar to what an SC Ghost would have! Turned out a crap game though, where priority was: graphics > gameplay)

This thread is a bit vague though - Was this posted as news about the game also having killing-innocent-people, or was the video an actual (official) intro movie for the game?

As Demo said... this isn't news. Hell there are already how many GTA games? And GTA is a much more fun game than this Call of Duty crap. Sorry but I don't like CoD at all and this is since the first one. Considering that I love WW2 games (so I should like the first ones) and love massive epic battles with 345234857240 guys killing each other I should like the serie but I really hate it. The multiplayer is nothing special either. Things that have been done pretty much everywhere else. I'd rather play battlefield 2 or 1942...

Not very long -> This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Activision Games Inc. I missed it again. -_-

I bought COD:Modern Warfare earlier this year (uber discount) just to try it. I'll have to admit, the singleplayer campaign has many awesome "holy-shit-that's-awesome" moments.
But overall, actual gameplay is just like any other first person shooter. (I know I'd get bored to death in multiplayer very quickly)

sry for making it a bit vague .ok so am gonna write down what happends so anyone not wanting to spoil it dont read.


game starts with you walking out from an elevator. at that point u dont know who are u playing, good or bad. then 4 other dudes walk with you wearing body armors, and u stand right in front of a crowd lining up for metal detector, then all of you pull out your machine guns and start shooting(but u can choose not to shoot) , killing like 30 civilans. then u start walking through entire airport , killing ppl that are trying to hide, ppl who are crawling wounded, ppl trying to pull other ppl away from the shooting, all in all like 300 unarmed ppl, then the swat team arrives, and u kill them too, and then u escape , or try to escape before one of your terrorists shoots you in the head and leaves you behind.

actard confirmed its the official intro to the game, saying in order to motivate u to kill the bad guys and finish the game we wanted to show you how evil they are. the main problem i see with this is that u are given an option to kill innocent ppl. in cod4 u were taken through the similar stuff but u could only look. imagine some idiot trying to get the achievment
"GO GO kill the airport ppl" in real life. i dunno, i liked carmageddon alot, but this just feels wrong. maybe its just me tho ..

Pretty sure depicting guys shooting innocent civilians doesn't make you want to kill people any more than that random dude who lost 3 times in FIFA and went on a nerd rage with a sword and an axe, chopping off some 65 year old lady's finger, hitting her 6 times on the head with the axe, and stabbing her in the stomach and leg.... killing her.

I saw the footage, and it didn't seem any different from what we've already seen in games a year or so ago.

And like others have said, just look at GTA.
