This game comes out today and I find it very intriguing. Has anybody played it or plans on getting it? I'm interesting in hearing your thoughts or experiences about it. It's got over 200,000 guns supposedly.

Haven't played it yet (getting the PC version once I get money) but I am definitely looking forward to it. Every bloody hack-n-slash, loot fest these days is dripping with Fantasy overtones and I'm sick of it. A nice sci-fi shooter with tons of loot is going to be awesome in my book.

While I will not argue with your tastes, Borderlands at least looks better than WoW.

It's not my favorite graphics style either, but I've long since stopped caring about graphics over gameplay. If the gameplay rocks, the graphics don't matter to me.

I am also kinda against the graphics, but they in no way alter my outlook on the game. I think it looks horrible...

Primarily only because I've ever seen of it is some ugly ass thing.

Though the fact I've heard you punch their faces in slightly improves my taste in it. I'd have to play it to gain a true opinion.

Having just finished my third straight almost-all-night bender, and having just cleaned out Skag Gulley and busted open the gate past Piss Wash, I have to say that this game is the most fun I've had in a very long time. I've gone through about nine primary weapons and equal or slightly higher number of secondary, with my trusty shotgun in reserve for the bigger skags.

It's fun, darkly humorous, and I have to say the art style matches the game style almost perfectly. When you've got three Adult Skags, a Badass Skag, and nine Skag Whelps rushing you you tend to ignore the graphics and just try to stay the *$&$ alive.

Definite A list game for me and I'll be co-oping with the wife soon :D

It's like a vicious dog that leaps at you and lashes with its tongue. You find them walking astray in the wasteland, and when you kill one they tend to rush you as a pack.

Exactly. They spawn out of caves on the side of cliffs that can be hard to spot. More than once I was heading straight towards a group of skags only to be blindsided by some coming from a cave I didn't see. They can also jump REALLY high, so my classic Morrowind tactic of jumping on rocks and killing stuff from afar went RIGHT out the window, and scared the *$&# out of me in the process.

i got this game about 2 weeks ago and i was really hyped when i started playing it. it has loot system like diablo and playing a game with 4 ppl with bunch of items falling out of mobs every time u kill one its just imba. but as soon as i got to lvl 21 i got bored with the travel system in the game and didnt play it anymore. i play torchlight now. and mw2. finished it last night playing from 10 pm to 4 pm. man the graphic on that game is like nothing ive ever seen in my life.

I'm never touching a CoD game thanks the issues discussed in This Thread. (http://sclegacy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1649) Also, I've always preferred the Battlefield games.

As for Torchlight, I'd play it too...but it doesn't have MP. My wife plays games with me and we're totally digging Borderlands. I have no doubt it'll need a nice DLC come next month, but it's certainly been worth $50

This game is amazing. I have it on PS3 and I can't get enough of it. Currently playing the soldier at level 19 but can't wait to replay with the other characters.

well, my friend, i think i went a step beyond that thread. i bought the game for 3.5 euros and i can play it on xbox live. :) :) :) so i played it and still think actard is a turd.

I can't wait till I get this... Er, my mom started up to Wal-mart 2 days ago. She's been going at an average of 11.2 miles per second. She's about 19% of the way there. She'll probably be there in a week or two.

To be honest it's got too much repetitive grinding for me, not to mention the AI sucks and the levels/areas are really boring.
