The last one, I promise, make whatever cheeky cunt-type response you desire, those will be ignored.
I have now been perma-banned from blizzard's shitty forums for using "FuK" or some variation of that.
So whether you agree or not, I hope to see Blizzard's company collapse, not just for this, but for ruining series after series, ignoring the players who fucking loved their products and where once loyal to them and defended them against criticism for years.
I want the company to go belly up, to be destroyed, for WoW to stop making them money and for people the world over to stop buying their TRASH products.
I want to see their CEO look down from their HQ's window and JUMP.
I want to see Chris Metzen, David Kim, Dustbin (Browder)'s heads on pikes with a bunch of angry gamers with torches and pitchforks (literally) burning down the Blizzard HQ in the background and me holding the decapitated heads of the Blizzard Moderators in my hands as I stand with one foot crushing the head of another.
I want to see a fiery sunset in the distance as the ashes of what was blows in the wind. and as the wind blows, I shall have my brothers spray paint "StratosTygo Wuz Here" in Teal paint on the few standing walls that I left for that purpose.
Blizzard.
GO
FUCK
YOURSELF.
That is all.
Carry on, friends! :)

Regardless of intent.
I have to admit that joke gets me everytime.
That will be me if I see a video game and detect blizzard's evil emblem on the cover.

Why not apply that to its forums as well?

Because using the forums doesn't require me to spend money.
Perhaps the most obvious answer in all of history.

It's... it's done? This is it? You'll never do it again? LOL, that's a good joke bud, should do stand up!
Also, I just preordered Nova: Covert Ops, and I'm finally getting Diablo III in a week.

Missing the point for the sake of the quick, meaningless, ineffective jab, as usual. Put simply, it's quite irrational of you to prioritize a few dollars over your mental health which is CLEARLY in danger.
Also, pretty sure you just bought LotV, so the bullshit smell is strong.

As a schizophrenic who actively refuses all treatment (because fuck the cost of everything medical), these episodes are extremely amusing to watch to be honest.

You want to waste your money on trash, that's on you.
Don't come crying to ole' StratosTygo when you regret that decision.

Missing the point? what was your point? you just used a stock phrase "Missing the point" because I effectively eliminated your "argument" in it's entirety within seconds.
"

I did, and that was the last blizzard game I'll ever buy.
You will not catch me getting that DLC shit or anything else.
I even made it clear that I indeed bought Legacy and intended to a while back.

That actually explains more about you than I, my friend, I'm just an angry betrayed customer who wants the company who betrayed me to have their heads cut off and put on rusty pikes.
and their bodies ground into sausage meat for my dogs to enjoy.
There is nothing wrong with that.

In my heart of hearts, I think I'll never give up on Blizzard. I trust their writers about as much as I trust Hollywood writers right now -- which is the point, as writing in mainstream media just so happens to suck the big one right now. So this is clearly a cultural problem, not a Blizzard one. Maybe one day things will look up for them. But that will only come when franchises are written by those that love them, rather than those who see them as a payday.

But... the reason you're frustrated in the first place is because they did do amazing things in the past. If you're gonna murder game devs, might as well murder the ones that NEVER did anything good like those Zynga or King people.

I once thought as you did, and yeah it is a cultural problem, but the fact is Blizzard still followed these shitty trends and betrayed everything they created and the fans that defended them.
WELL NO MORE!
THERE ARE DOZENS OF US THAT WILL FIGHT BACK AGAINST BLIZZARD!
DOZENS!

Why would I do that? I've never once played their trash "games" (Their games are trash from what I've seen, but still)
I have no ties to them and no reason to be frustrated with them in this way.

This is why I feel that after the DLCs, they need to take a step back and look at everything that's happened. Failing that however I think they may just take the easy way out and say SC2 isn't canon anymore

The DLC's aren't going to help them much. The general consensus of the quality of the campaigns is "Meh"
I would record myself in a fit of infinite laughter if they decided to de-canonize SC2. Vindication would be had by all. and to all a good laugh.

It could happen, since Metzen already admitted WoL wasn't smart.

Are we talking story or gameplay?
And, yes, indirectly, a lot of WoW has been decanonized, you could say. However, in order to pull something like that off, it'd ruin the universe further. I simple wipe would have to be done.

I'll fully admit I don't have hard stats on this, just what i've seen and heard over the past 5 years. so take that for what you will.
I was talking about story for the most part. Seeing as how i'm in the minority of people that DESPISE timed missions.

Sadly, I'm not so sure the majority of gamers were all that disappointed with the story. Lots of reviews rated the story highly (see review in other thread) and player numbers for the campaign imply that at least some of that game time is for the story. Doesn't change the objective fact its trash though :D

I don't know, I'll have to look it up.
my guess is that most people didn't even pay attention to it one way or another (as people tend to do with any media)
Oh well, we know that it's shit.

I understand your rant, and agree partially with it. I liked WOL (specially the cheesy stuff, if a video game can't be cheesy, what can?). HOTS had it's moments and so did LOTV. The story felt generally convoluted and the ending was all over the place. However, THANK ADUN, i got a freaking happy ending...10 years waiting for something after Brood Wars kind of left me traumatized. So, what now? I think they should move on. Just introduce new characters, new races, new stories...you know, continue the universe and move on. The characters we love had a good run, and to continue with Raynor, Artanis, Valerian, Horner, etc. would just mess things even more. Just move on and move to a more "science fiction" story and less fantasy.

I think you can have more sci fi in Starcraft and still sell millions of copies...really the brand is what sells the game now, and the games are generally well received...despite the story issues. Having more sci fi and less fantasy wouldn't affect the sales. What i do think as well is that they probably want to have another WOW with the Starcraft brand hence all the different races, clans, planets, and all that stuff...

I doubt we'll see a Starcraft WoW. If they're leaving the RTS genre with the brand, I'd expect some kind of MP FPS. With Overwatch occupying that place, that seems unlikely though. Maybe another f2p multiplatform game like Hearthstone. Obviously not another card game but something else that can work well on mobile. I don't know what kind of competitive f2p mobile games are popular in Korea but that would be the first place to look.

Agreed. I'm not a fan either but, from a business perspective, this might be a decent strategy for them. That's all assuming that they are working on something starcraft now or soon which I doubt. Instead, I'm pretty sure we'll get more warcraft very soon to coincide with the movie release and ride the hype wave.

I don't even know what the story would be .... Not entirely sure what's happened since WarCraft III. Yes, I am informed from playing and reading, but .. Wow, convoluted was a term invented for WoW, and JRPGs.

It's also even harder to keep up when they put key plot elements in books that no one wants to read except die hard fans.
I guess they could retell the story of all WoW expansions. Some bad guy could be trying to distort key historical battles and you'd travel in time to stop him. This has already been done in WoW itself so they already have all the plot tools to make it work. It might be weird if they try to retell the story of Draenor though (going back in time when someone opened a portal back in time..).
That would be a risk free plot full of nostalgia for the WoW people and would give ample of room to get non-WoW players up to speed. Doing anything else than this or a retelling would make it hard to coordinate both the plot of WoW and the RTS imo. Of course, it's not like Blizzard really care much about keeping things orderly...

I already kind of thought that that was a way to start working in a story for WarCraft IV.

Too right. Anything can happen when time travel is invoked. I can easily see an alternate timeline being the basis for the next Warcraft RTS. That way, they won't be beholden to all the sprawling lore nor worry about continuity (not that they ever did anyway :/) and putting people's noses out of joint because of it. Plus it'd be a great way to introduce new people (or reintroduce to former fans maybe) to it. Of all their IPs, Warcraft is perhaps the only one that can get away with it I reckon.

What was cartoonish about W3? The visuals? Storywise, it was a bit derivative to be sure but it was pretty "serious" for the most part.
I, too, have (proudly) never touched WoW.

The visuals for sure! Never played frozen throne as well... I'm trying to play and read EVERYTHING Starcraft related (everything official, will try the fan made stuff afterwards) would you say it is possible to do the same thing with Warcraft? WOW included? I never played and mmorpg in my life...
