Noticed something about Reavers...

SHITPOST WARNING

Reavers can fire up cliffs if they have vision. Looks weird (but then so does the marauder shot going up cliffs), but works perfectly fine. Presumably they can fire down cliffs, so they might be useful in a certain few missions later on in the campaign.

The thing to bear in mind is they burn ammo fast and it takes a while for it to recharge ammo, so if you are dealing with missions in which the enemy is constantly throwing waves, or you have to continuously push, they are burn out and become expensive cannnon fodder.
