When I was at New York Comic Con last Thursday I got to meet Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham! I saw him doing an interview with Masashi Kishimoto (maker of Naruto) at the Twitch booth, and told my wife I wish I could just talk to him, or shake his hand, and we moved on.

Later we came back and the Twitch coverage was on break, no one was streaming. I was looking around the booth seeing if I could spot him and I asked one of the security guards if he worked for Twitch and he said, "No I work for Reed Pop, (the people putting on the convention). My heart sank, I knew he wouldn't be able to tell me if djWHEAT was around. He then asked, "Is there something I could help you with?"

I told him I was hoping I'd get to meet djWHEAT but I guess I won't be able to. He said wait a minute, went into the green room and a few seconds later djWHEAT came out!

Marcus, as he introduced himself, is really a stellar guy. He was kind, and even though he's obviously the interesting guy, he kept asking about me and how I was enjoying the show and about my costume. Some guy came up while we were talking and asked Marcus to take his picture with my wife (who was in costume). This guy obviously had no clue who Marcus was, but Marcus kindly took it for him.

I told him how I enjoyed his keynote speech for Twitch Con and that I have been following him since his StarCraft casting days. He told me he still wishes that he could do it, but has a good thing going with Twitch.

Marcus was very kind to come out during his brief moment of down-time to hang out with me for a couple minutes. Especially considering he was still tired from TwitchCon and had a terrible time traveling to NYCC.

He deserves all the success he has and more, and I hope for nothing but good things in his future.

*Mind Blows Up* Anonymity in the internet is taken for granted so much you can hide in plain sight.

Lol, I thought everyone just kinda... knew it was me. How did this turn to "that's you?!" and not HOW AWESOME djWHEAT IS?!
I remember coming across this picture of him tieing Day[9]'s tie, which I thought was really cool. Kinda like seeing a picture of Obama fixing Putin's tie. At least, that is Day[9] right?
