Anyone here play World of Goo? I'd really hope everyone has at least SEEN it, the game is a work of art. It's an indie game that was developed by only 2 people...

They're having a "birthday" sale at their website: 2dBoy (http://2dboy.com)

Interestingly, the sale allows you to set your OWN price for the game. Regularly, it's $20 a copy. They've decided the customers should "pay what they think the game is worth."

I find it an interesting sales tactic, seeing as 80% of the PC copies of the game are pirated. There isn't any excuse for pirating the game now, when a donation of $.01 will get you the game legally... unless you're a COMPLETE bastard who eats puppies, and kills babies. :p

I played some levels in Wii, on the house of a friend. The game is very good, at least if you have some sense of structural integrity :D

You can buy at your price only this week.

The game is definitely worth $15-$20...it's very well done and ingenious.

Got it at a half-off sale on Steam for $10 and it was some of the best $10 I've spent recently. Amusing, quirky, awesome music, and spot-on physics that can be downright annoying, but somehow you just have to keep trying until you rescue as many of your little goos as possible.

I think the "set your own price" is an intriguing idea. I seem to remember when a band (don't remember who) did that not too long ago...they made some money off of it, as I recall.

World of Goo is a fantastic game. I'd probably pay them $30 just cuz it's that awesome. They should definitely make a sequel at some point.

A rather amusing little game. Worth $15 easily.

I'm really hoping they do well on this, I just bought my second copy - if you get it from the website, they give you Windows/mac/linux versions too :D (that's the only downside to getting it on steam)
