Ok, so lately I've been going through a lot of earbuds. I had been using Altec Lansing's Backbeat Plus earbuds, but the left side crapped out on me last week.
I was looking for a temporary replacement for them, so i went to target, and bought some skull candy Ink'd in-ears ($15). To my shock and dismay, they sounded just as good as my $50 (at Best Buy) Altec buds...
Should I stick with the surprisingly good skull candy buds, or is there something better I should try?

skullcandy sound alright but I've never had a pair last more than 2 months. They ALWAYS short out. I've gone through at least ten of them. They're basically useless.
I don't really know about good ones. I bought some bose ones last month but I don't know how long they'll last. Never had bose before.

Check Gizmodo they had an extremely extensive article on the subject recently.

Were they Bose Tri-Ports? I have a pair right here that a friend of mine wants me to fix (not always an easy task...) - they shorted out at the connector. I hope you're careful with them! That's a lot of money to spend on one pair of headphones... :p

I bought the Bose because they've got a good rep and it comes with a year's warranty.
