I don't see why they think it's so important to have a slim console. Yes, my ps3 is a monster, but it's a stylish monster and consoles aren't really something you ship from place to place.

I think their biggest problem is lack of quality games compared to the XBox. I'm still happy with mine though, of course.

To be perfectly honest there's not a single game I like on the X360 that I can't get on the PC, whereas there are a LOT of games I can only get on my PS3. LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, Uncharted and WipeOut HD alone were almost worth the price of the console. Add in Blu-ray...

I might have to get a second one. You know, for the other TV. *whistles innocently*

Im glad i still have my backwards compatible PS3... even if some PS2 games freeze occasionally (A lot for wild arms 5)

lol yeah I thought I could go on why the PS3 is better than the XBOX overall but I didn't want to start something I couldn't finish :P

I dont think it being slim is what will make it popular, but rather the price cut. A 300 dollar ps3 is half of what the original ps3 cost. By making it a new slim version, it can stand out on shelves so people can look closer and see the new affordable price.

I wish they did this earlier since I sold mine to my brother and bought a new one a couple months back :p
