I've been a casual BW player for about 5-6 years. I play on and off on BNET US West with friends from my high school days. I joined the forum because SCLegacy always has more information than the official SC2 site.

Believe it or not I've never followed the professional scene at all. I only watched a few Pro Korean games on Youtube for the first time this week when I was bored at work. I was completely dumbfounded. The playing was fast and clever and that's cool and all but what blew my mind was the huge crowds of all ages, and both genders, watching the games. And the commentators going nuts like football commentators at the World Cup. I'd heard about South Korea's enthusiasm for SC but it has to be seen to be believed. That stuff is old news to you guys but it cracks me up. I'm watching as many as I can find now.

How did I found SCL? It was long, long time ago, when I was starting my "relationship" with SC. Actually SCL was one of first sites I find and that was "love from first look". Some years ago SCL was my main source about SC Lore, but even now often this is good place to find infos... You can ask why i register on SCL just now? Answer is simple - cause earlier i wasn't related with SC community so much like today, my English was really bad and i haven't time.

What I am doing? By the years I was cooperating with many SC fan sites (mainly polish) like SC Sector, SC Mapmaker Center, UOU Clan and others, but now I'm editor-in-chief on SC Area (link is in my signature) and Senior Admin on SCA Forums.

In private life im actually student of fifth (after holidays) year of optoelectronic at Military Uniwersity of Technology, Warsaw.
Interests? Of course, like every men - fast cars and beauty girls ;)
After that - new technologies, sci-fi, games, movies... and i can't live without music.

I know about this site existance for long, but I don't know why I never decided to check out these forums. I found them almost by chance; I'm working along Drake Clawfang in the third episode of his famous campaign 'The Mar Sara Missions', and he posted a thread somewhere in these forums to announce it. Mmmm, I too could make use of such a program, though lately WoW just holds no appeal to me, I'll roll an alt on a friend's server, hit 10 after an hour and get bored and log out. Never to return until some other random person on face book is like., "hey you have a level 80 priest, you should play with us sometime," :p

Well, where to start? I knew about SC:L way back in the day and lurked here then. That was back when I was playing SC on a casual online basis. I lost interest around the Heavy Metal days, although that wasn't the whole reason. I just felt like moving on, and in so doing left SC:L behind.

Well I heard about SC2, hated what Blizz was doing to it. Then I heard about the Battle Reports, and watched 'em, and decided I might just like this game. So a spark of a hint of a memory came to me..."Wasn't there a Starcraft Legacy website back in the day?!"

Lo and behold, here you still are, so here I am now.

A quick about me...uhm...been playing video games since DOS and Commander Keen / Space Quest 1. Starcraft ranks among my top RTSs (too fast-paced and clickish to be my #1, but definitely a viable #2/#3) and I have always, always hated Warcraft.

I tend to be opinionated. To quote a favorite TV series of mine, it's "only because I'm passionate. And right! And passionate about being right!" But I've mellowed recently and I prefer having a good time to having a bad argument.

I write for a living and play games with my wife for a hobby. Other than that...well, this has probably gone on for too long anyway so I'll shut up now except to say:

Hello, everyone! You can call me Sarov. I was formerly known as KhaosNebula on BlizzForums - not that anyone will remember me. I used to be on the old SCLegacy too, a couple of years or so ago - can't remember when though.

Anyways, I've mostly been keeping track of what's been going here, debating whether to join or not and well... I decided to give it a try after a talk with Dauntless and Gifted on the IRC. Here's to hoping that this site is friendlier than BlizzForums and that I'll have a better experience!

The reason I joined was so that I could discuss both one of my all-time favourite games and Starcraft 2. Although I'm not the best player - I'm not the best but I'm definitely not the worst - or very technical. Heck, I didn't really know what macro and micro was until I read the descriptions on BlizzForums. Even so, I love playing the game. I love the lore. I just plain love the Starcraft universe and it's games. I'm really looking forward to getting to play Starcraft 2 and although I don't have a Beta Key, I'm willing to wait for it to be released.

I've read Liberty's Crusade, Speed of Darkness, Queen of Blades, Shadow of the Xel'Naga, Starcraft Ghost: Nova, Dark Templar Saga: Firstborn and Dark Templar Saga: Shadow Hunters. Dark Templar Saga: Firstborn as well as Dark Templar Saga: Shadow Hunters. Still working on getting the third book in the Dark Templar Saga though.

Lore wise, my favourite races it the Protoss. Game wise, I'm an average player with all three races but I seem to have a better job playing Protoss. I have phases where I play one race specifically and then I switch to the next. I guess I play whatever seems fun at the moment.

If there's anything I'm going to contribute to SCLegacy, it will probably be artwork. At first, the art will mainly be sketches and inkings of sketches as I don't have access to a tablet and Photoshop. But hopefully, when I get my gaming computer, I'll be able to show you what I'm really capable of!

Phew! That was quite a long post, don't you think? Anyways, I'm looking forward to future discussions and sharing my artwork with you all.

As for my 3D stuff - I've gotten quite brutal in selfcritique the last 2 years, resulting in many cancelled & unfinished models, so I actually don't have that many recent pictures.
Additionally I switched to a higher end software earlier this year, so most of the recent time has been spent on trying to forget the old habits from the past 9 years of having a crappy 3D program. :D

I heard the antarctica is divided into a pie chart where each mayor country gets a share, same for the moon. They all payed like billions for a single share in the antarctica. Multiply that for how many share each one has. The funny part is that there's a policy from the UN that calls the no exploting of resources in the antarctica. So its just like a troupy, same for the moon, but some countries do make weather research and stuff in there.

Compared to the official forums, this place has only a few barking dogs.
I made the mistake of registering on the official forums before having stayed long enough to observe whether or not it was a place I'd stay.

I lurked a month or two here before registering, and saw that the amount of people who argue in a less-than-friendly manner, was minimal and easily avoided.

Well seeing I'm not the only one who's suddenly decided to start posting on the forums I guess at least I'll say hi in here.
I've been following SCLegacy for about two years, but I had never got in the mood to start posting.
But with Starcraft2 "hopefully" coming out in the near future I want to take part in this forums :D
