Heart of the Swarm - First Look in May

Late next month Blizzard Entertainment will be previewing StarCraft II's eagerly anticipated Zerg campaign, Heart of the Swarm to members of the press. We, along with other members of the gaming press, recently received an invitation to Blizzard's Irvine headquarters. The invite promises some hands-on time with some of the early versions of the single-player missions, interviews, and some Q&A time with the developers. However, the invite warns that this event will not include any discussion or preview of Heart of the Swarm's multiplayer components.

Blizzard has mentioned that Heart of the Swarm will have a different feel and story mechanics. In Wings of Libery the primary inter-mission storytelling was facilitated by Raynor's flagship - the Hyperion. Understandably, that mechanic wouldn't work for the Zerg chapter of the saga. Instead, to focus on Sarah Kerrigan and the Zerg legions - Blizzard has stated that the campaign will explore "what it means to be Zerg".

StarCraft: Legacy will be at the event and will be producing our quality coverage with all of the details. Make sure to check back late next month for our articles, videos, and interviews. We are very excited to see what Blizzard has been working on for the Zerg campaign after the lukewarm response to the Terran campaign in Wings of Liberty.
