StarCraft II
Blizzard is now hosting a
StarCraft II custom map contest that will encourage map makers to make a quality custom map for a chance at getting great prizes. In order to participate, you need to create a high-quality custom map of any kind or genre and submit it to their official website. All map submissions will be judged on quality, innovation, originality and how fun it is to play. The creators of the top three map submissions will receive a free trip to BlizzCon 2010 including airfare and accommodations, $5,000 in spending money and their maps will be played at BlizzCon in the
StarCraft II demo area. All entries must be submitted by September 11th. The official rules and eligibility factors can be found
here.
In our first-ever StarCraft II Custom Map Contest, we're challenging you to craft the most fun, creative, and polished custom map that the galaxy’s ever seen.
If you think you've got the skills, fire up the StarCraft II Editor that came with your copy of the game and get started. The Editor is a powerful, robust, and complete development tool, and it's everything you'll need to build your creation. Keep in mind that we’re looking for originality, innovation, and fun, so whether you want to make the next DotA, craft a mini-RPG, or concoct a third-person shooter, let your imagination run wild.
