StarCraft II
Blizzard recently hosted a
live StarCraft II showmatch at the
European Warcraft Invitational and held an
interview with LiquidTLO right before the event. MaDFroG and TLO went at it for two days for a total of five matches, showcasing not only their skills, but the game to many
WarCraft III fans among others. For those of you who are interested in some play-by-play of the series, click
here. There are also videos of all five games that were played and can be viewed
here. The
interview with Liquid TLO reveals some of his insights on the races of
StarCraft II and the future of the game.
Blizzard: In the early beta you chose mainly “Random.” Later, it appeared that you preferred terran over zerg and both over protoss. Why did you decide to focus on those races instead of continuing the random option?
TLO: It’s not that I don't like playing protoss, but I had to face the fact that they are, by far, my worst race. I had terrible tournament statistics playing protoss so I decided to quit them for my own sake. Terran always was my favorite race; even back in Brood War. They have so many options and different styles you can play successfully. As for the zerg, you just have to love these cute zerglings running around the map wreaking havoc in three different spots at once. Not to mention the Infestors, which are probably my favorite unit in the game right after the ghost, at least.
