Project Resurrection is a redux of the popular Project Revolution mod for Warcraft III, which attempted to remake StarCraft on the Warcraft III engine.
Project Revolution was a Warcraft III mod that started in 2004 and was released as a beta in 2007. This mod had probably the most impressive graphics of any mod i have ever seen. The units were almost 100% replicas of the original sprites.
Unfortunately shortly after the BETA release Snowflake Entertainment the developers of the mod announced in an interview that the mod had been discontinued due to limitations of the Warcraft III engine. Since that day the mod was abandoned and few knew about its existence.
CiniCraftMods.net is proud to unveil Project Revolutions first campaign Project Resurrection. We felt it was wrong to let a mod with polish this good to be forgotten. Knowing that Starcraft II wont be out until probably 6 months after the closed beta, I thought I'd give the Starcraft fanbase something to hold them over before we get Starcraft II.
SC:L interviewed the PR team when they decided to discontinue the project, and two of their members are now SC:L staff members - XSOLDIER and Edfishy.
