News - StarCraft II

Update 2: According to Karune, Blizzard's RTS community manager, Karen Strassman is merely one of the voice actors who has auditioned and the final voice actor is still not finalized:

This is one that you'll want to wait for an official announcement from us. With all aspects of the game, we want to make sure the fans get the most epic StarCraft II experience. Choosing voice actors too is no different, especially for such a notable character as the Queen of Blades ;)

 

Update: We've compiled a short comparison video between Strassman and Campbell. Remember however not to judge anything at this point in time, voice actors do tend to require some getting used to:

 

Kotaku is reporting that voice actress Karen Strassmen, who has worked on such titles as Supreme Commander and Everquest II, has recently added "StarCraft II" to her list of credits.  Along with this, the last line of her Video Games audio sample contains a quote from the Zerg teaser trailer as its final part.

We have reported before that Glynnis Talken Campbell will not reprise her role.  We will update with further news as it becomes available and wish Karen Strassman the best of luck in her new role.
