Looking back at Blizzard's history, they've been mainly a developer of PC games. The franchises of StarCraft, Diablo, and Warcraft are all for the computer, with the exception of StarCraft 64 for the Nintendo 64. But fans are always curious about the possibility of one of these franchises making it onto consoles.
Kotaku was able to have an interview with Dustin Browder, in which Browder says StarCraft could work for the Wii U, except that there's the ever-present problem of how keyboard controls would transition to a controller.
"If I can control a cursor on the television with my hand on the touchscreen, that might be able to work," he said. "[But] because of the hotkey scenario, it's not like players actually play StarCraft with the mouse only—they play with the mouse and keyboard... We obviously allow new users to play mouse-only and that's really fun, but when you get serious about the game you do move into the mouse and keyboard space."
