for a while I thought that the shield regeneration will be faster than it was and will make it to the beta....

Snipe went from a good tactical ability to a spam tactical ability. Disappointing.

I think snipe with 45 dmg for a 25 energy cost is too cheap.

I'm sure it will be balanced if it's found to be cheap. It's interesting that they're testing it at this time.

2 bits of important information I'd pull from this:
- EMP removes cloak from passive cloaked units for 5 seconds (DT/Observer)
- There is no correlation between the vespene gas contest dates and the beta dates.

extremely disappointed on the "back to SC1 shield regen" decision. :*(
One of my favorite changes to protoss. It set them a little further apart from zerg in the way they regenerated. I know its still different since they only regenerate shield but still....

Sigh.... sad day

A very sad day. Let's hope we can get these changes reverted back to good stuff in the beta

pretty good info there. Thank you SC Legacy!
I'd like to read some new lore/story information too (i am a huge fan of the Starcraft game+books storyline).

If we are lucky i think we get the Beta around christmas of 2010, and game released at the 2nd half of 2011. (Blizz said it will be around 2009 november, but somehow i cant see this coming).

Nice, a pity i don't know Korean, because i would post in their forum without thinking twice. Nobody answers in the english SC forum.

Snipe always looked lame to me. Ok, with 200 energy you can Snipe 8 times for a total of 360 damage to Bio units, but it's standard attack already deals 10 (+10 vs Light). And it's yet another damage spell for the Terrans. Yamato, Missiles, Snipe, D8 Charges, Auto-turret, Seeker Missile, 250mm Strike cannons... A bit repetitive, isn't it?

Also, EMP uncloaking all units for 5 seconds? Do the Terrans really need that for something? They still have the Scanner, right? Oh, but maybe that puts them into disadvantage, because they're supposed to be using all their energy in MULEs, right? Seriously, WTF???

I agree, higher Shield regen when out of combat and no Shield regen when in combat did make sense for the Protoss. I always wondered why they don't give an explanation of why stuff gets changed.
