Well in my experience EU diamond they rarely do the 4 gate super hard. Just 3 gates then make the robo can hold...sometimes. If you micro really good and he screws up his micro. Or do the 3 stalker defense build.

You need a better read on terran. Getting into his base and seeing no gas and only 1 rax....i would have guessed fast CC maybe 3 rax mostly marine. I'd have planted nexus after cyber. Used the zeal and stalker to hopefully see a bunker at his ramp. If no bunker and i see a lot of units then i cancel nexus and make gates. From my estimate the bunker would be half to 3/4 done and you could have done some damage then left knowing it should be a CC since gas so delayed it'd be really slow tech. Your second chrono on nexus was late. Should spend more chronos on nexus.

After seeing an orbital already at 2nd i wouldn't have made those sentries. I'd make a robo bay instead at that time. Abandon double forge completely. Your expo too far behind his. Robo bay done at ard 9.35. Make 1 colossus. Done and at his base by 11mins. Before this the probe at xelnaga would have made a pylon near his base like at his possible third. Should have enough to break him and hopefully make his expo CC have to lift. Focus everything to getting that 1 colossus out. Then probably need to make 1 more gate to use up resources. Then hurt him badly while extended range and a second colossus is making. After that double forge. Then go for the normal 2/2 colossi but you rearranged it to get colossi first since your expo was behind so much.

Now on to watching the other replays.:P Hope that was helpful. I used the advice i suggested before. Both the checking for bunker and just fast colossus cos his expo was sooner.

Again no second chrono on probes. Gave him a slight lead. And he was on one gas saving chrono. Really looks like a 4 gate. That's PvP for you. You were later than him on second chrono for probes. You made a second gas. Made 2 extra probes. Late on extra gateways. Then all those mistakes added up to dying from 4gate. Getting to like PvP lately though. Tiny tiny mistakes lead to losing. PvP demands perfection.

The 3 stalker defense build isn't really optimal, since it puts you behind if he doesn't 4 gate. Although, if i run into the 4 gate more often, I'll probably start using it.

Often in PvT, both in replays, and when playing myself, i always scout 1 rax gas. The T will have a marine out, before i can do anymore scouting, and before he'll make any significant tech decisions. Sometimes i manage to scout the addon, but that's it.

Yeah, it's makes perfect sense to abandon the double forge, if he expands this early. Why didn't i think of it? Should've probably gone for +1 armor instead.

PvT on slag....
Should look at a double gate build timings. Basically at ard halfway 1/1 start twilight. Then start 2/2. Then only it's time to put down robo bay. Tyler's double forge for 2/2 colossi.

The terran was really bad (16 harvesters for a long time bad) but still you shouldn't have attacked when you did. If you waited for 2/2 and charge, you'd have 2 extra colossus and bashed him easier.

Side note: Damn.....i'm jealous of your computer and/or internet. Mine lags so much i can only do anything when it's 0.03.

Heh. I used to run starcraft at high settings, and getting horrible lags in bigger battles. But when i switched to everything on low except for textures, which are ultra, it changed Made a huuuge difference, both technically, and for my ability to micro and do stuff in those big battles.

And yeah, I've been reading up on the double forge a bit. I realized that colossi are not all important when doing it.

Also, in the PvT i would've waited, but i was a 100 % sure that i could break it : )

Yeah i don't like the 3 stalker build either. I usually see 1 rax gas too. I always expect conc shell expand. So i leave a probe nearby. If i see it slowed then i feel safe to expo. If not i get zeal stalker there. If i see it get hit with conc i feel safe to expo. Otherwise i go 3 gate robo before expanding.

Up to you about the +1 armor. I usually don't since i wanna focus on bashing terran really hard. In terms of timing the +1 armor won't finish in time for the push with 1 colossus. Waiting for it would delay the push by ard 1 min. So to me i'd rather not if i felt that behind with the expo.

I'm stuck playing with my laptop for a few more months before i graduate from university. Stuck playing at low and sometimes laggy. It's alright though i guess. Can still beat people.:P Gives me a slight lag disadvantage in PvP though.

I still love colossi with double forge. It's awesome. I first saw the build on tyler's stream. Then heard him say "Hmmm....maybe if i get colossi after starting 2/2." And when i saw the results of that it looked and felt really good.

Okay, so today's session was rather frustrating.

It was almost pure 4 gate, with only a few macro games.

80% of my games were PvP's, and i hate that matchup sooo much right now.
Other than that, all the zerg's i play steal my gas. I feel like it puts me way to much behind, if i intend to do the 3 gate expo build. So what's my response? 4 gate trolol.
I guess i should try playing it out, even if the zerg does steal my gas, and maybe go for a less sentry heavy build. I dunno.

I haven't got any good replays, so i'll just upload all the ones from today, and some from yesterday.

The moment i see a drone scout and i want 3 gate expo i immediately halt production to take both gases. Then i just don't use the second gas yet. Any suggestions on games to watch? I don't have time to see all of them.

Heh, well the game called " PvT Backwater ( good one ) " was fairly interesting imo. I think i did pretty well in that one. But to be honest, I really don't feel that any of the games were that good. In the future, I'll lable the good ones with something : )

Most of the games, i just want to keep as a future reference. When i actually get better at this game, I'd love to look back at these games.

As for PvP, it mind tricks and micro are certainly the more interesting aspects of the game. But i feel that the match up over all is one major coinflip. Also, in the replay called " PvP Talda ", i get korean 4 gated. I hold off the initial warp in, but i just dunno what to do against MASS zealots.
