About a week ago I posted the first part, here's the second. If its old I apologize, I haven't seen it before. Again, the interviewer is European and hard to understand.

Interesting that they're already pushing the limits of a single DVD and a lot of the art isn't even finished yet.

Kinda burned out on recent interviews. Anything noteworthy in this one that people could kindly dictate?
Thanks.

1. Territories of online play not known by Browder (USeast, USwest, etc)
2. Nova has a chance to be in single player. Other novel characters have a good chance of being in, Andy and Chriss Metzen handle that type of information
3. Browder's favorite feature: How each race is completely unique. Not only in the 3 way aspect but with how they fight each individual fight. (He examples ZvZ,ZvT,ZvP) Would like to see more of an "infesty" feel to Zerg if possible. (One of his better questions, does 2-3 minutes on it)
4. They are attempting to put all the models into the editor at this time, The problem is that they are pushing the limits of a DVD. Some of the abilities will need to be recreated in the editor which shouldn't be a problem
5. Terrain affecting gameplay? Browder says no in multiplay. Snow slowing people down or night time changing vision will complicate the need to balance the game (You'd need to balance it for 3 ways then). Singleplayer is a go. Items on the map that "eats" units are complicated. How to handle pathing... do you go around it? Why have it then... Just walk over it? Then the map decides the outcome of the game, not the players. Wants to ensure "win" and "lose" is in the hands of the player.
6. Powerups on map. Dustin basically says "Um.. no way", again, balance issues. Zerg would be imbalanced due to speed. Why not just boost the zerg. Makes a funny comment about it being in command and conquer.. no love for this idea.
7. Returns to the idea of terrain affecting gameplay. Talks about how he doesn't want to overcomplicate the balance. They currently have 12-14 units, but if they went up to 20, that would just make scounting even MORE required and even with proper scouting your guess could be completely wrong. Concerned about adding too many terrain features could complicate as well. How future expansions will effect unit comp are unknown at this time.

Good stuff, thanks very much Gifted.
In regards to #4: if pushing everything onto one DVD presents a problem, perhaps they could consider only including all crucial models for basic SC2 gameplay, and offering all original and extra models as a download to conserve space?

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the way they go, Blazur

Worst case scenario, they can put the Single Player and Multiplayer access on one disk, and the editor by itself on a second.
