IIRC the giant eye was a zerg sentinel. One of the few things that has scared the crap out of Kerrigan and the true eyes of the overmind/cerebrates.

If you made Terran tower, you could make a gimmick like an scv or marine getting up in the tower, then when the enemy spots the unit it shoots and maybe even destroys the tower (like the protoss cinematic with the dancing terran that gets shot down by a missile) and when the enemy takes the tower it's magically rebuilt and a small unit can be heisted up again.

The Zerg eye is just cool!

XN towers are meant to be out of place especially according to lore - they are an ancient piece of tech out of nowhere

What about a special Terran Radar Tower that has an invincible civilian operate it? When you approach it, the civilian climbs from the floor level to the top floor where the Radar is and he activates it. If an enemy approaches the civilian gets scared of seeing a conflict and hides below, deactivating the radar? When you leave, he goes back to the floor and so forth?

Ít could be used for the Space Platform and Urban tilesets plus any Terran settlement.

LOL. When Zerg capture the tower, the Terran that climbs it has a headcrab and when Protoss do, the dude gets a halo gib representing that he's being mind controlled!

Play Protoss? Look for the map Photon Cannon Tactics in the NA server!

That's a super well thought through elaboration on what I had in mind!
