To keep pace with the continued growth of World of Warcraft as well as development on other Blizzard Entertainment games, the company is currently hiring for numerous open positions. More information on available career opportunities can be found at http://www.blizzard.com/jobs.

What are the chances of them announcing the new IP?

At the same time as Cataclysm? Not likely. The new IP MMO is years and years away. No reason to detract from WoW.

If they launch cataclysm at blizzcon, or announce the launch soon. It is more likely that they will wait to announce anything else in the post-Christmas void to have visibility and create some hype.

Damn, I was really hoping the Las Vegas rumors would come true.

I have a feeling Cataclysm would launch before Blizzcon. Maybe not, but it seems weird for Wrath to be at its end-game content, and there's still 7 months until Blizzcon, which is a very long time.

But who knows, Blizzard takes a long time to release their games. I can see them announcing new IP, especially if you consider next year's Blizzcon would likely announce Heart of the Swarm.

October seems a little late. I went last year for the hell of it, but I think I'll skip this one. Plenty of Cataclysm info in '09 and I'm sure there will be even more hooplah about it at the next one.

I really want to see what they've come up with for Starcraft 2's
single player campaign. I've read that they scrapped the original
"purchasing random upgrades with mercenary money" scheme with
a new "divergent tech tree based on artifacts found" scheme.
That would really be fun to see.

Also, I'm willing to bet that October is when the launch SC2 WoL.
I'm willing to put money on it.

You would lose that money. Do you seriously think there will be an 8 month beta considering how complete the game already is? Not to mention that they are still saying first half of this year for a release date.
