Thread: Game-time clock during a game?

  1. #1

Default Game-time clock during a game?

Is this an option in the games? I mean, I'd like to be able to see how long the game has gone on, with some sort of option that allows me to enable a game-time clock. This would allow me to see at least how much quicker i can build and have something to compare it to. I know that it will be in replays, but I think having a clock in-game will help me push myself to be faster. If i dont know that I'm running out of time to get X built, I definitely wont push myself as hard.

Does anyone know if this is in the game? Do you agree it should be an option? Do you just not care?

I definitely wouldn't mind an in game clock, I don't see any harm in it.

Maybe people will be afraid that it'll make timings too easy for better players and whatnot... but then again they can just use a clock and put it beside their screen.

This sounds wonderful, especially for the Practice League.

An option to enable that won't hurt anybody, and can be useful. Just don't show it by default, because surely someone will find it annoying.

If they don't include this, Ill just use a stopwatch.

Its a pretty obvious addition. Perfect to compliment their beloved APM sink macro mechanics.

I'd like to have one showing the global time as well. They have one in wow so why not.

It'd be great for fostering timing sense. Any sort of way you can coordinate your actions and your opponents actions to the time would help out more than just having an abstract idea of "When your Stargate finishes for this BO, Mutas come around now." You can also gauge how behind you are and when you should expand.

Agreed. This can help people practice.

I've played so many RTS games that have them that I honestly forgot SC1 doesn't. In-game clocks are excellent for all the reasons already stated and a few more.

If not included, that would be another step backwards...
