Default Legacy of the Void Demo Mode (SPOILER)

Five new units confirmed by separate twitter accounts on the demo.

Disrupter (P): mobile land-mine. Robo Fac.
    Ravager (Z): unknown.
Lurker (Z): hopefully not just a regular lurker.
Herc (T): melee/grappling hook unit. Basically a reverse viper, Barracks.
Cyclone (T): basically the diamondback. Factory.

After seeing the videos where Blizzard introduces the new multiplayer changes, I cannot feel anything but puzzled by how cheesy the new units and the changes are. More micro doesn't mean better gameplay. More OP abilities, like insta teleport BC anywhere and stuff like this, are just weird, I hope they don't survive throught the beta. What do you think?

I think it's the same tactic they used during Heart of the Swarm; they debuted these new units along with the title to build anticipation, all the while working on legitimate balancing in the background.

    Aaand sold.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being

So some info I've gathered from the campaign preview article.

Customization comes in two forms, protoss tribes and the Spear of Adun

As tribes join your army, you not only get new units, but also new tech to customize the units you already have

Zealot, for example has 3 tech options (it doesn't look like you ever forfeit charge)
Auir gives zealots axes that gives the whirlwind trait: which lets them cleave
Nerazim unlocks shadow charge; not sure what it does, but it looks like an upgraded zealot charge which causes them to instantly blink to the enemy. (and they do change skin/color palette to look like dark templar)
the third was locked, thus unknown

There is a screenshot featuring nerazim zealots and a dragoon...so YES dragoons are back; it is plausible that auir tech changes your stalker to dragoon.

Spear of Adun upgrades is the protoss tree for universal goodies that Terrans got through research and Zerg Kerrigan's leveling. As you gather a resource called solarite, you can unlock base upgrades and superweapons you can use in battle (it appears you have to buy them individually with solarite and with each tier you can choose only one at a time)

tier 1: warpin reinforcements, harvesting beam, proxy pylon
tier 2: thermal lance, time bombs, orbital strike
tier 3: warp charges, orbital gas extraction (probe free gas harvesting), defensive nexus
tier 4: timestop, super shield, recall
tier 5: repair beam, heroic shield, summon
tier 6: strafe attack, purifier mothership, purifier beam

In addition to this mysterious goodies you can also upgrade starting supply, construction time and shield recharge %

    Update!

    Campaign Overview.

And it seems another of my theories became manifest!

    Hidden Content:
The Khalai must sever themselves from the Khala lest they become corrupted by Amon. God damn I am looking forward to this game!

Haven't watched it all yet but I have one question. Is it just my current level of cynicism clouding my judgment or have the designers of the campaign and storyline gotten progressive more fucktarded since the early days of Andy Chambers? I'm genuinely asking since I know I've heavily influenced by my admitted butthurtedness over the series evolution. Trying to make sure I'm not just getting irrationally angsty about this.

I'm citing the article from SC2 main page...blizzard posted it last night.

From seeing the video, I'm not surprised...if Amon can taint the zerg, surely he can concoct a method to do the same to the zerg (maybe thats what the teldareem served as; his experiment on tampering with the khala)

Does anyone have info on what the darktemplar zealot does exactly or what the stalker customizations are?

Isn't this what you wanted - all this epic Protoss and Amon stuff - in the first place? You're getting it now so no need to be so negative about it.
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

So, after seeing the video, cautiously optimistic. Glad they're touching on the philisophical, cultural, etc. aspects and whatnot (or intend to).
