Default Blizzard plans to Revise Original SC Cinematics

    EXCERPT FROM GAMEPRO INTERVIEW:

"Game Pro: So, we've been hearing rumors that A revisesed edition of the orignial Brood War Ending was released on the internet. Can you confirm this?

Chris Metzen: I sure can. We are redoing all the StarCraft and Brood War Cinematics with new voice acting and video. The "BW: Ending Video" is just a taste.

Game Pro: Why release the ending of the game in cinematic form? Couldn't that cause spoilers?

Chris Metzen: We figured BW has been out for 12 years, if you haven't seen the ending yet, you've been living under a rock.

Game Pro: What caused you to make this decision?

Chris Metzen: Well, like everyone else, I was a big fan of how George Lucas went back and edited in the voice of Hayden Christenson screming "Noooo" from Revenge Of the Sith on to Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. We thought we could a step farther creating a brand new cutscene for Brood War.

Don't get me wrong. We're still really proud of the orginal product we created, but we just feel that this new cutscene "Rocket Man" delves more into the Character of Gerard Dugalle.

Game Pro: The new addition of William Shatner as the voice of Dugalle, I thought, was a major improvment over the orginial.

Chris Metzen: He knows what it takes to be cool! (laughing)

Game Pro: What do you think Fan reaction will be to this video?

Chris Metzen: "Oh yeah! Thats the good stuff!"

Game Pro: Does Blizzard plan to add this new Cinematic to the actuall game or will it remain online?

Chris Metzen: Well, it will start out as an optional patch, but as more progress is made we will begin to revise all newly made copies of Brood War to include the new cinematics. We also plan on reduing some of the plotline of the Original SC and BW so that the story meshes a little better with our vision for Heart Of the Swarm."

That's the exact opposite of what I wanted them to do.
Also the link doesn't seem to work

I'm still holding out that they're planning on remaking Brood War. Mark my words, it will happen.

    I LOL'd.

The alternative to that would be a part of my soul shriveling and dying at the mere thought of this being true.
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.
