Default Health Benefits of Video Games

So, a researcher from a University from Vancouver decided to study the effects of video games on people and used StarCraft II as a basis.

Here's the article if you wanna read it:

I've been noticing these benefits for years. I can make decisions a lot faster and more efficiently than anyone I know, and I know that a lot of that comes from when I used to play StarCraft all day. I could feel it help afterwards.

Good to see something in support of gaming in the news lately.

Even though I played starcraft 1 it was only ever against the computer. Since I have been playing starcraft 2 on the ladder I have noticed an improved ability to operate under pressure and to analyse multi-factor problems. Plus I had a lot of fun.

I think that as computer games mature we will see more and more areas where they can lead to self-development. Especially if they become integrated with other parts of life.

    Word!

haha. So we can now have a valid excuse for gaming 24 hours a day. Most of my colleagues at work too who are gamers really have it. They're better employees than non-gamers.

I'm enjoying the feeling of suspense and stress and being mentally active. It somehow relieves stress that comes from the mundane day to day.

I also enjoy the benefits of social interaction among people of the same interest.

I think RTS games are attractive to thinkers, in as much as other games attract other personality types. But this is based solely on my own reflections.

Do you consider yourself very stimulated when thinking, planning, or trying to find ways and solutions?
